@StrawberryIchigo121 - Not irony, just to make him cooler. And probably because KOEI's Hideyoshi has a monkey animal motif (Nobunaga called him "monkey"). Look at Shingen. KOEI made him an old man in a mask, Capcom made him a mountain of a man and they made him look like a tiger.

@MarianoRyu Now that you mentioned it, and KOEI's Masamune Date is a kid in green armor with a saber and two pistols, while Capcom's Masamune Date is a badass warlord who can wield six katanas at once which no normal human can do. Come to think of it, no one from Sengoku Basara is normal. And yes, Shingen is a walking mountain. And Im pretty sure there was no Hondam back then.

@StrawberryIchigo121 - It's all a part of a Capcom - KOEI rivalry. Both have their good points and bad points (I don't like Capcom making fun of Kanetsugu Naoe; but I KOEI turning Keiji and Masamune evil in Warriors Orochi was a dick move too). The greatest thing in both games, and both of them have in common, is Yukimura Sanada.

@kugotsumin Hideyoshi is an antagonist in this game because he was one of Nobunaga's allies in real history, and so was the Maeda clan, but they eventually defected from Nobunaga.
