Aw, don't hate on rap. Yes, a lot of the more popular stuff is really crappy, but there is good rap, and it should be respected, I think, for it plays with rhyme and rhythm in a way few other things do, if any.
However, I will say that for me personally, it will never touch me in such a sublime way as this piece of wonder.

how beautiful.Einaudi is able to cleanse the soul of every listener through such a simple yet strangely satisfying way. I wish chart music had more music like this, to try and educate youngsters into playing instruments such as the piano, not shying away from them. preferring to drown their eardrums in technologically made music. nothing is sweeter than the sound of real instruments.
I listen to Death metal, Slam mudercore and brutal heavy metal. I listen to Hardcore rap and other stuff but this music is a taste of music its a lifestyle... I can never forget music like this. <3
I began listening to this when I was 12 I am now 16 and threw all the bad this helped the most. And probably will still help later on.... wish my friends would appreciate such decent talent..

im 12 and im not the kinda quiet girl that would love peacefull music.. im the kinda person who loves pop but loves this more most people dont know that about me. i also try to show some of my friends some think thats its intereting but go and learn some pop song on the piano others think its interesting and always listen to it but then most people totally blow it off and think its the most lame thing in the world. ludovico einaudi is my hero
@Cynthiaallenmusic well at least they're learning something on the piano. - music is an ongoing process, to appreciate one must dedicate time and effort. The more you invest in it the more you get out of it. Just remember you never have to justify what you like to others because to them its not considered 'popular'. In the end it will be more satisfying to stay true to yourself.
Lovely, but I think that one top comment needs to expand his own musical tastes. Sure you think they are stupid for not appreciating this music, but aren't you being the same for not appreciating theirs as well? As far as I am concerned, all music is art, it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, true idiocy is calling any single genre of music bad. I personally try to experience a wide variety of genres. I like classical, indie, dubstep, rap, country, metal, folk, anti-folk, alternative, pop, trance, jazz, and more. It's all music. While there may be some artists that are bad, and some styles that you don't care for, no genre is in and of itself bad.

Some things in "techno dubstep shit" are really great, because every kind of music make the musician express himself. Your friends may be idiots, but don't try to convince them that you know what is the real music.
Because music is the only language that everybody is able to speak. But as there are some different dialects, there are different kind of music, and it's good like this...

My advice, contemplate them (trying to change their tastes is a waste of time) and let them listen with their skullkandies and beats by dr. dre things that are closer to noise than music, let them feel "cool" for doing it, we will know better.

@RIKAY747 The thing is: There is no "true" music. Music is music. Some of it is good, some of it is bad, but you will find good music in every genre if you have an open enough mind to go look for it. Of course peoples tastes are different and maybe there is a "true" music for you. But dont judge others taste. It only hurts yourself in the end. Stand up for what you like and be respectful towards what others like. That way you might eventually find peace and not care about it anymore :)

@RIKAY747 There isn't good or bad music.. The only thing important is to listen what you rather listen. Some things in "techno dubstep shit" are really great, because every kind of music make the musician express himself. Your friends may be idiots, but don't try to convince them that you know what is the real music.
Because music is the only language that everybody is able to speak. But as there are some different dialects, there are different kind of music, and it's good like this...

@RIKAY747 I am 19 and I have the same problem, flatmates and people in uni listening to rap music with the base turned at max, terribly deforming the sound of something that is a piece of crap in the first place.
My advice, contemplate them (trying to change their tastes is a waste of time) and let them listen with their skullkandies and beats by dr. dre things that are closer to noise than music, let them feel "cool" for doing it, we will know better.

@WesOKelly I was given 2 pairs of skullcandies as a gift around 3 years ago more or less, both broke before 2 months of usage, and I treated them really well, same happened with the pair my sister got.
Skullcandy are the cheapest headphones badly glued with a ridiculous price tag and an ugly logo on top made to appeal to teenagers.

@RIKAY747 The thing is: There is no "true" music. Music is music. Some of it is good, some of it is bad, but you will find good music in every genre if you have an open enough mind to go look for it. Of course peoples tastes are different and maybe there is a "true" music for you. But dont judge others taste. It only hurts yourself in the end. Stand up for what you like and be respectful towards what others like. That way you might eventually find peace and not care about it anymore :)

so your friends AND you suck at music. Having musical taste is being able to listen to anything and like it. I can go to a heavy metal concert, and I love opera... Justin Bieber sucks.. But i wont suicide if i have to listen to him... be 'generalistic' , it's better ...
