You know,m seeing your sketches and little paintings really struck a chord with me. A long lost love! I love to paint, but I'm not too good with watercolour yet.
@NancyToday I'm not too good with watercolors either but I love working with the colors and just using water, especially while out in the wilds. I hope you get a chance to get back into them.
@NancyToday those are just quick sketches, maybe 10-15 minutes, I don't time them, but to paint a real painting can take hours. either way it's a good time killer, the notebooks fit in my purse.
@truemirror I took a little notebook along when I was travelwriting. I have lots of sketches in there of ocean and mountain scenes. Nice idea to have a tiny one. I'll make some today!
@truemirror My forestry instuctors had the same philosophy. but, my sketches look like kindergarden stick figures. I call them little "symbols" that remind me what I saw but make no sense to anyone else.

Thanks, I was the one in the family that didn't know how to use color... so hopefully I'll start learning how to put more in the pictures.
