  • Thank you for the video!! My fiance's actually from Israel and his entire family of course speaks Hebrew, so it's nice to get a head start to learn how to speak Hebrew before I go to an awkward family family visit. Thank you so much :)

  • Very interesting... I'm mystified by some of the transliterations... example - shmii or shme or shmee, shmi, or shme??? ahni, ahnee, or ahne??? I've noticed that formally words are spelled by the Hebrew language institute with and i that makes a long e sound... so, it's sometimes transliterated as an i, e, or ee... but, it still a long e sound... Very confusing... Have any thoughts on the subject??? Maybe, make another video about it... תודה

  • Shalom! My kids Josh & Kristen laugh at the start every time you say Shalom, we really enjoy your lessons!! TODA!

  • My Name Is Enrique and it was amazing, She looks like a Latina Girl, and it was funny because when I was in Tel Aviv every body use to talk to me in Hebrew or arabic because they look very similar to us!!!

  • @casimiraloco no one talked to you in arabic where you were in tel aviv because there are bearly a few arabs in tel aviv

  • It's Funny at 7:19 (for me at least)

because emlee in hindi means 'Tamarind'

Kha in Hindi means 'to eat'

So , emlee kha means 'eat tamarind'

  • Hey I’m an Arabic man learning Hebrew and I found your lessons very interesting, spatially the comparison between those two languages it really helped me to get it faster, Seriously you’re doing a great job. Btw in your next video would you please tell us how to pronounce Hebraic letters ? Because I think it sounding like Arabic : ex : do ע sounds like ع, and do ק sounds like ق and also I’d like to know what’s the difference between "כ" and "ח", and between "ש" and "ס"

    ps: you are gorgeous !!

  • very nice ! great job, it helps me a bit :)

  • Shalom and Thank you. This is first time ever to listen Hebrew Greetings. Very clearly explained Cheers!__ John (Indian born-New Zealander)

  • funny.. the lesson is great, thank you. And what a beautiful face. Reminds me of my cousin back in Lebanon, a little Lebanon /Jewish face...

  • I say Shalom alekhem as a goodbye- is that incorrect grammar?

  • shalom :)

  • ani beseder

  • harder than I thought

  • maha is palestenian i bet

  • @jesusonXTC

no if she knows hebrew she is an israeli arab!

  • like it, though no one really uses "lehitraot" much. "bye" is used much more often.

  • I dont get the bit" Female and Male"? is that when speaking to Female or Female saying it?

  • @IZZI4KING Yes, you're right. But it also depends kind of.. If you're talking to a woman you say "ma shlomekh" - depending to whom you talk. If you would answer though - I would just say: Tov meod. (Very good.) But also if you tell which language you talk, if you're a female you say: Ani medaberet germanit, but if you're a man you say: Ani medaber germanit.

  • @INdiverCT madua israelim mealgim al ''r'' ?

  • I love it that you say ayin. :) My heart melts with gladness every time I hear people pronounce ALL the letters. :)

  • toda!

  • A question: when you make a difference between male and female, you mean male/female speaker o listener?

    thanks

  • @Fidelidad listener. when you are saying: "you" to a female, you need to say "AT", for a male its: "ATA".

acctually its about whom your talking about.

  • @Fidelidad both

  • @Fidelidad Listener

  • Maha, you seem like a very kind and cute person :)

  • For anyone speaking English (American) that thinks Hebrew is "stupid," there are over 35,000 words in the English language which trace back to Hebrew directly and over double that from languages related to it, which derive from Hebrew. If you research it, you will know better. Toda raba Maha, nice video.

  • But the channel name is: LearnArabicwithMaha

  • why u dress an inverted cross

  • @PrinceCursed Could be a coptic cross, not really inverted!

  • I only speak the christian language.... english. not any other rubbish.

  • @DirtyDiddleTag07 how arrogant and ignorant ... English, with a capital E !!!

  • @DirtyDiddleTag07 Lol the Christian Bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek, so apparently you don't speak the Christian language. Why did you watch this video anyways?

  • Anee me Australia

  • shalom^^

i need someone to teach me a basic hebrew :)

  • I am 13. I am a American and I am Jewish. I speak English, Hebrew, Arabic and Latin.

    Shalom and Marhaba!

  • @Airsoftattack123 Ah, I'm Seth call me Aki. I'm takeing Japanese, start Korean and Hebrew. But I can't make the sound mka like shlomkh. And i'm 18 year old American too!

  • @Airsoftattack123 good for you

  • I have a question whats the difference from hebrew and arabic?

  • good job

  • Maha, may I ask why you try to teach Hebrew? I believe arabs should not spread jewish heritage. Salam walla yekhaleekee.

  • @ZaphedBeebleBrox well maybe it is time to learn some tolerance!

israeli, arabic, jewish, german, french, if you speak the language, use it to teach others! small mindedness gets us nowhere... im austrian and I definately see it in my country's history :(((

  • @ZaphedBeebleBrox You are so funny... one of the best places to study arabic culture, history, and heritage is the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Ask the experts. I have full respect to that young woman who is excellent teacher, and beautiful, as well. And more, try to find out how much the Jews contributed to Arab culture in the last millenium. You will be amazed. I'd suggest that you learn first your own Arab heritage.

  • It's funny because she says "In Hebrew it's just like what we say in Arabic" ... but Arabic was based off of Hebrew.

    Good lessons though.

  • @mayyannx3 Actually, the origin of both langages is Phoenician. Phoenicians created the alphabet system as they needed an efficient way to communicate and deal with "the world" at that time, being merchants of the seas (1550 BC to 300 BC).

  • @mayyannx3

the funny thing, is when a non-semetic poeple like israeli ones, say that Arabic is based on Hebrew !! and ignore that modern hebrew itself is just a reconstruction of an extinct language using Arabic syntax rules !

Arabic = proto-semetic, the father of akkadian, hebrew, aramaic ...

  • @Arabsys Not true, even though Hebrew ceased to be a spoken language all rabbinic literature for the past thousand years has been written in Rabbinic Hebrew, the same way All Arabs continued to write in Fus7a even though few actually SPEAK it.

  • how many languages do you know?

  • Ya know ..... I can't believe that anyone would give a thumbs down. What is not to like. This is the most charasmatic person. Thumbs up for sure.

  • Mashlomekh Maha... :D

  • so palestine she means jordan to clear it up
