The only good thing about these films is Stowe. She's the most underrated actress in history. She's beautiful and feminine yet tough (I'm sure she's a fine daughter, wife, mother, etc.). A perfect package.
Love this film and great vid you made but you missed my fav funny scene. The bit where they're doing movie lines and Emilio says to Richard "oh this was not a boating accident" and Richard says "Uh I don't know". In case you don't know, it's funny because that was one of Richard Dreyfuss's lines in Jaws. Apparently Richard and Emilio were doing movie lines on each other for real and when Richard didn't get it (even though it was one of his lines from Jaws) the Directors added it into the movie
A few parts were missing in the Funny Scenes of Stakeout category: 1: Chris in the fish vat yelling "BILL!!!" 2: in the Captain's office Chris telling him that "Phil did all the pissing!" 3: Chris hiding under the bed when Maria comes home and takes a shower. 4: Chris comes home to an almost empty house and tells Bill, that she took the shades.
@adamdicy true, and there's also the scene when the detectives at the station are listening to the recording of Chris putting on the fake accent after Maria calls him. But i reckon i still got the best bits.
I have both stakeouts , and saw the first one at the theatre when I was 11. I thought madeleine Stowe was hot then. She's like 51 and still a knock-out. Movie still cracks me up.when the cat chases the dog down the street;never gets old. Richard's character starts shagging Madeleine, who's house they're suppose to watch because her ex-boyfriend broke out of prison ,and they suspect he'll go there. Best part:chris is eating a bucket of K.F.C with a blanket around him ,watching his partner have di
Right about now I'm glad that I live alone because it's 5am and I'm laughing very loud and very uncontrollably. Thanks for posting this compiliation from one of the better and yet under-rated comdies from the 80's.
1:30 "Ohhhh my god, ohhh she could be the house!!!" BEST QUOTE OF THE MOVIE HANDS DOWN!!!!

One of my favorite 80s movies! Great mix of comedy, drama, romance, and action. Dreyfuss and Stowe are perfection!

LOL, 2:05 was exactly how I would've reacted, ESPECIALLY with Madeleine Stowe in 1987!!
