@zildog Actually, in order to be historically accurate, Crixus needs to be alive since he helped Spartacus with the slave revolt. This is why they are keeping Crixus alive in the series until his time is up, of course.

If you think about it, Spartacus was an arrogant bastard thinking he would be able to kill Crixus when Spartacus had first arrived at the Ludus.
