@bennayboi123 The VX1 would still be the camera of choice but its hard to find them now in good condition, as you would guess for a camera that was made in 1995. And, Camera companies will not continue to make SD cameras just because the skateboard industry wants them. Therefore, HD is being the new industry, media is slowly turning too it in skateboarding. Vx1 is fantastic, but a dying kind.

@bennayboi123 why? Compared to HD the look of the vx is terrible. The colors are washed out, the compression translates poorly, the pixels are interlaced which often makes for a terrible pass through when you're digitizing footage and don't deinterlace upon export... the tapes can have a lot of things go wrong with them too. Maybe the one set back to HD cameras versus the vx right now is that they still have yet to develop a death lens that with true HD glass that's affordable to a regular user.
