  • Gorgeous.

  • Yah its still open :P omg !! i use to remember going there all the time when i was little then i moved to canada -.- ..... brings back good memories :D

  • is this still open? please tell me

  • Me & some buddies always sneak in there at night and just smoke a lil bluesy and enjoy the stars. ;)

  • so it is safe to go in there at night? I've always wanted to!

  • Plenty of good memories. been there since i was 12. did birthday parties, and every week we go there. the water is COLD!!!! I am going there next week with my nephews.

  • i pissed in this pool 17 years ago.

  • i used to sneak in through the bars

    over fifty years ago

    swam all over that place

the cave, even jumped off the top of the water falls

    once. nice video

  • This is why I love YouTube. I can re-connect with childhood memories.

My mom took me here when I was about 12 or so. It was the best swimming pool I have ever seen, before or since.

Over the years, I would ask people from Florida about it, but no one had heard of it.

    magical place

  • i'm going today i'm 15 and its my first time,i hear all thesse good things about it,i cant wait to go.

  • Too bad you didnt ask me. I live in Gables.

  • @darkmann88 iam from saudi arabia and i will come to Coral Gables to study,my instittute is there ,i want ask you if the place safe

  • @yasseralaamri Yes it is very safe, friendly, and accomodating. It is also on the upper end expense wise. Are you going to the University of Miami?

  • @yasseralaamri It is one of the safest if not the safest neighborhood in miami.

  • This pool is amazing! About the only nice thing about Coral Gables! Coral Gables Hospital and it's Emergency room were a disgrace. Unsafe, loud and racist. They have a gay doctor there that harasses everybody including fire rescue. Very decieved by the time I spent there.

  • I agree, the Venetian pool is really lovely...so much nicer than swimming on South beach. But God that sounds awful about the ER there. My impression of Coral Gables is of affluence, I thought it would have a really smooth ER. I'll remember never to get sick there in the future. Were you working there punknurse?

  • man that feels so good in there last time i went to the venetian was 10 years ago but man i still can feel that cold nice fresh water

  • I was born and raised in Coral Gables and practically lived at Venetian pool during the summer. I loved the caves and jumping off the rocks...definitely the most beautiful and COLDEST pool I've ever been too. This pool is filled by natural ice-cold underground springs.

  • the most beatifull swiming pool i had ever seen..and swim..

  • I remember swimming underneath the lava type caves into the big pool, it was beautiful and scary

  • Thanks for the videos, i was born in hollywood and we drove down there when i was a kid quite a few times. I remeber going in the cave thru the holes in the rocks and hitting my head and almost knocking myself out the rocks. Does anyone remeber how big those rocks were you could jump off. i remember there is 2 or 3 loevels and i was always to scared t o jump off the top.

  • We go here a lot. It is so relaxing and fun!!

  • I found 3 dead lizards in the cave lol

  • Wow... I'm nearly 60 and spent many happy childhood summers there... still beautiful beyond belief. If I remember correctly, it was $1.50 to swim all day and 25 cents for a locker with a key on elastic that you put around your ankle or wrist. The underwater cave was surreal... reflected light from outside. Also, you used to be able to dive from several height levels at the waterfall point. I Hope it never closes...

    THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES! REP

  • I also grew up in the Gables and remember the Venetian Pool well from my childhood. The only thing missing from this video were the VP caves. I didn't see the diving board either. I wonder if they still have it?

  • thank u for the vid! i lived in miami a long time ago and im very happy to see the venetian pool

  • Thanks for the post

I lived near the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables for 18 years

I really miss living in "The City Beautiful"
