Actually, this is the most morbid version of this number I've ever seen. The Billy Lawlor character is shot by the thief? And then the chorus starts tapping again? Crazy. Who ever decided to stage it that way should be shot themselves. Why not add in a few leprechauns and unicorns and bring a whole new meaning to the show.

Her voice is great. And I agree that this is not a pop song, it's musical theater. BUT seeing as how the rest of the performance isn't exaclty professional broadway material either...I think I see why they had her sing it this way. More people who don't know theater really enjoyed it I bet.

Okay, I´ve done the REAL 42nd Street, and that was nothing like it. The ap sounds are messed up and the steps are completely wrong. But hey, I guess that was as good as it can get otherwhise.

this is going to sound SO weird. but I'm in 42nd street right now and our vocal director had a dvd of a production his brother was in, so I watched it and it was this same production! His brother was Mac.

Her voice may take her places but her dancing was lackluster and stiff. Whoever made the decisions for the horn section, especially the trumpets, needs to be fired, they were so bad it overshadowed the dancing.
