  • I produced this song aka I made this beat!! Follow me on twitter @FettySlaps and support small businesses!! Its very important that we do not allow major corporations and their conglomerates to take over the world!! Support fair trade and your local Mom and Pop shops!!

  • This song is just one of the many that made me fall in love with The Grouch's songs. Speaking the truth seems to be out of style these days but The Grouch is bringing it back. Eligh helps too :)

  • Power 2 the people not to Corporations of evil!!

  • I mean I understand that little shops are going through hard times because of stores like Walmart but honestly when I go to a alittle store and I'm looking for something or want to do two things at once like buy a toy for my kid and get some grocerys done buy shampoo and all that Walmart is the most convienient most mom and pop shops don't have much selection

  • FUCK WALMART AND ITS FUCKING CHINA MADE PRODUCTS... I Saw this shirt... bout died! C51Creations . com Yo Check it out under funny

  • FUCK WALMART AND ITS FUCKING CHINA MADE PRODUCTS... I Saw this shirt... bout died!

  • Worst Grouch song of all time.

I love the Grouch. I couldn't believe he showed the world this poop.

  • @BenderThaMagnificent its obvious you have no education on corporations and what they do to mom and pops store owners as well as the community and the immense level that they are widening the rich poor gap. that poop smells great. find another toilet asshole.

  • @theyard509 It's quite an assumption to speak on my education based on my post.. Look at my post again, I didn't say a thing about Wal-Mart or the widening gap between rich and poor. I'm plenty aware that Wal-Mart fucks over just about everyone they do business with, including customers and emloyees.

Again, all I said was the song sucks. I said nothing about its message, which I actually agree with. So, if you want to try to be a smart ass then stay on subject and slow your role, toughguy.

  • @BenderThaMagnificent No toughguy just defending the message but i apologize for making assumptions because it is quite possible the song could be made better. i think the message is what makes the song either way. it is standout. need more hiphop with a message. yea and im pretty good at being a smartass with no speed control bender

  • im gonna guess that the 8 dislikes are walmart owners/employees

  • i think this song is talking about how walmart is making small independent businesses close down....idk thats wat i think.....

  • Westill make ice from water and wood from logs.... I like it!!

  • I heard you bought your whole style off @ ebay, they even selling everything now that we say...

sally furnished her apartment @ best buy, but target got the best buys...

and that's why I'm gonna do a Wallmart exclusive...

With hallmark rhymes and fisher price gone produce it...

oh you aint heard? weak lyrics: that's the new shit, like all of er print ain't and tellin er truth is...

  • I NEED this instrumental !!! ahhhh!!

  • I'm sorry this songs hot but I shop at Walmart. he should rap about the hip hop clothing made by little Pablo from Honduras. I'm not saying Walmart or Target's any better but shit...

  • @TheDudeIn207 yeah

  • @TheDudeIn207 walmart and target are worse because they employ little "Pablo from Honduras" and pay him shit for wages.

  • wal mart is evolution. we must accept the future. i mean i just rob most things anyways

  • The Grouch definitely brings some original flavor to hip-hop.

A lot of his shit is like he's writing an essay to a beat. Dope shit.

Hip-Hop = Power. Keep it fresh, and keep fighting people. In the end it all comes down to us.

  • Another reason not to go to Walmart : their "Say Something" campaign that encourages customers to report other customers at the slightest provocation if they "see something suspicious".

When's the last time a terrorist gave a shit about a Wal-Mart? I prefer my shopping experiences to be free of neo-Nazi narc tactics, thanks.

  • amazing video really eye opening

  • hella good song, the album is sick. don't ask ?'s, just soak it up.

  • How in the F*ck did he get permission to film that song inside a Wal-mart? I am dumbfounded.. Someone please explain this to me.. Wal-mart had to of signed a release form or permit slip..

  • @ACtheGfromAI No they didn't lol.

  • Damn toyota technology.

  • Who else but the grouch would bring this point of view to a hip hop song?

  • The 7 idiots who disliked this video can"t handle the truth!

  • @MONIMONKS or they work for wal mart lol

  • @rmnvaldivia Ha! Seriously! LOL!

  • props Grouch. believe

  • is 7/11 a mp killer? i dont think it is

  • @austinguy32 killer of convenient stores. haha. they still got some lil mom and pop gas stations up hurrr in whidbey island, with lil 7/11 type stores :D

  • the corporate machine is a double-edged sword...it has enabled the middle-class to raise their standard of living...but that doesn't come without sacrafice.

if you really say fuck the corporations, put your actions behind it and don't support them or stay silent.

  • I work for the Cheesecake Factory.. and the money is great full benefits.. I can't complain.. However, I worked in mom and pops for over 10 years and they were no match for the corporate machine.. I seen this happen first hand where the mom and pop was no match for the corp that consumed them.. It's said. If your not a multibillion dollar corp you dont stand a chance..

  • This is a superb artist, however the chorus leaves a lot to be desired and I feel that the translation of corporations taking over mom and pop stores is lost without the video as an aid. I still like the concept, though.

  • $ALE!ᖨʰ

  • It's tough too see, 1 stop shopping and low price wars seem like an advantage to the consumer but where is the spendin' money going to come from when we buy from wal-mart we put another family business out and they have to go work for a corporation and the money all goes overseas and the american dream dies, we all become slaves to the machine, homeginized wearin' and listenen' to the same stuff, freedom and individuality dies.

  • yes, blame walmart, target, starbucks, etc for all the people who shop there instead of supporting their local businesses. god forbid the BIG CORPS who have a bottom line and shareholders try to make money money money. how about instead of bitching about them you don't support those businesses? it's not the job of a business to worry about their competitors going out of business or losing customers. they are there to sell you products to make money. buy elsewhere if you really care about mom&pop

  • The Grouch is the shit to all degrees number one artist in whole world

  • Cory has been on top of this whole thing going back to " Fuck the Dumb". Gotta give it to the Grouch.

  • yea...im puttin my two weeks notice in the end of the week...fuck a mcdonalds! the shits so unhealthy i dont see how all fo u fuckers can eat there

  • definately the most appreciated video iv seen from the grouch. iv been listening to this song for the past few months but i didnt quite know exactly what the messege was, now i know exactly what hes talking, i feel a bit hipocritical cuz i might get a job at walmart. but its the way they want it, and i guess im just another pawn

  • man fuck walmart ese. i saw that foo chillin wit his homie target n his lil homie k mart. them foos need to watch they backs. or else ima have to fuck some shit up!!!! lol yall need to calm ur asses down. when mom n pop stores got them good ass deals maybe they will make a comeback.

  • he's talking about the death of small shops. you knw ma and pa shops.

  • You can't beat rollback prices.

  • Dope video!

  • real talk!

  • All of you get off of The Grouch's dick. If you don't know anything about him, then don't say shit at all. FUCK WALMART!!!!!!

  • if you are "independent" the only way u can work at wal-mart is if u shop there too...

  • ya see, this is why i shop at publix.

  • you or the boom i no dam good job i like yall beats cool rap off the hook keep it up

  • hey....i like yall....

  • His beats are cool but dude needs to stop acting like its so bad to live in America. If corporate America didn't exist then America would be a third world dump site like the rest of the world. Of course America isn't perfect but its way better than living in India, definitely Africa, and most of the Middle East and whats even funnier is he talks shit about all these different chains yet I bet his goofy ass shops at most of them.

  • @mossadabk DAM RIGHT ON THE FUCKING POINT. i agree wit u man. and he's dope n all but he contradicts himself once in a while. he says in one song he buys his jeans at costco. i wonder wat other stuff he buys there. these stores got some good ass deals sometimes. and i hate it when idiots live in usa and talk mad shit. usa is better than MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANY other countries. go live in another country for a bit. you will miss usa alot!

  • fuck you your rap is bullshit your message i need to no how to rap your a lyrical bullshiter go back to your day job fage

  • wack bull shit stop this no good your rap is do do

  • Comment removed

  • go back 2 school square. its obvious this message of this song is too large for you to grasp. u probably suck off mainstream? grouch's a lyrical genius. this vid is deep, im feelin it grouch!!

  • @tiykey you have bad taste.

  • @cynikal30 @tiykey gets all of his publicity by being wack douchebag....

  • I love this guy. His lyrics are so good. I also very much appreciate this song. It tackles an issue never before tackled in rap... so obscure, and Relevant!

  • Yo man you gotta relaize that the white folk in america are the minories now. but it never was a coulour war it was a class war. Time for the workers of the world to unite

  • That sounds communist..."Workers of the world, unite" is the last sentence of the Communist Manifesto....

  • @verbal187 White folk are not the minority in America. They may make up just less than 50% (speculation beofre the census) but their 50% will be far above any other group. In fact, it's more likely that all the minorities together may not outnumber whites in America. We will see after the census comes in.

  • @verbal187 White folk are not the minority in America. They may be nearly under 50% in America (speculation on the upcoming census results) but they will still outnumber the 2nd highest minority % by far. In fact, it is more likely that whites will outnumber all the minorities combined in America.

  • we keep supporting corporate America, and corporate America don;t give a fuck about us. They'll always use the cheapest option possible, it's capitalism at its finest. It's all the CEO's and fat cats that decided to move their factories and jobs overseas, then u know what happens, idiots blame minorities

  • good shit soundin like DONT TALK TO ME- but please stop supporting LRG-that shit is for posers-I know they pay livinglegends but that brand is so GARBAGE-grouch is playin himself by supporing it

  • ahhhh...no, he is amazing

  • TKO Burner's rockin in this video.. :)

  • oh you must be talking about your taste

  • dopee ass fuck.

  • We need to support our local shops. I see places closing their doors all the time but walmarts parking lot is overflowing!! get out there and help our comunities. These are people familys!

  • there trying 2 build a super wal-mart by the pad. the city keeps telling them 2 FUCK OFF!!!!

  • @teenmob4life yo. slouch hit me up and i'll make you better. and me and we. i got sick shit with it. poop. jokes for your daughter for when she's 6.

  • they tried that here too but after years 2 popped up

  • havent stepped in one since i was 19

  • PunkRockPat, now please don't take this as a flame, respect bro. But the truth is, it's cheaper but try to find something built/made in the US. All this stuff in their stores comes directly from China. My folks owned a bookstore. They had books for sale in Walmart from the same supplier that was cheaper on Walmart's shelf than the warehouse would sell it to them for.

  • @PunkRockPat you're missing the point entirely...

  • My dad owned a home building company that he started 20 years ago. Right now he's in the middle of going through bankruptcy because of the trust we've given to a slowly collapsing pseudo-capitalist bank regime. The class war in the middle of one of it's darkest battles yet, and the only thing we can do now is to hopefully learn from our mistakes. No more trusting the stability of a society of excess and a highly contrasted classes.

    Keep warm, burn the rich.

  • You wanna save our economy, want real stimulus? Boycott Walmart.

  • Support your local mom and pop shops!

  • my bad, meant to click the thumbs up, support your local shops

  • haha at first glance i thought the news reporter was immortal technique

  • wow thats all the valley right there from the taco bell in tarzana to the walmart in west hills Dope!!

  • @seanmurray90 i laughed reading that good shit

  • @seanmurray90 Huntington Beach for sure

  • environmentaly friendly light bulbs lol!

  • i need a instrumental for this song

  • He's educating stupid idiots like you. Grouch doesn't have the power to change an entire economic system! He is under the wing of the dragon. Ya corporations hurt the common people. But sony is feeding the Grouch's kids and keeping his house warm. BUT WHAT he can do is speak the truth and let us know why things are the way they are. So we are not ignorant to the fact. In artsy he says "I'm a tree hugger (yea right) not in these clothes". I'm sure he'd like to be perfect, but no one is.

  • ... seriously? So your basically saying its ok for someone to whine and complain about something but not do anything to fix that problem at hand? O and by the way the majority of today's society is aware of the corporate takeover. My message is clear don't complain about something if your not going to do anything about it. He's educating idiots like me? You don't know anything about me pal.

  • As a matter of fact Ive lost respect for you after reading your comment. At least the message grouch sends out there is full of wisdom

  • That's ok. I'm not looking to impress you. he speaks of obvious truth. that's true. By The Grouch doing this song and the psp commercial is like someone participating in a Wal-Mart protest and then hours later he walks in that same store he was just protesting to buy that psp for his kids. Plain and simple he hasn't done anything to help the "cause". He's most likely hurt it. I guarantee you more people have seen that psp commercial than this song.

  • Your making very generalized points that you really don't have an details to support. He has continued to push hip-hop towards a direction that is based around "simple man" ideas (the everyday worker). Not too many hip hop artist talk about these issues and the fact that he continues to establish a fan base around these principles (through corporate ads) proves that his message has always been the same. How else does one succeed in a corporate society; by playing the game you knuckle head.

  • You both have some points but the argument is not gonna be winnable. I respect the Grouch for doing his best to speak out about things he does see, and all his music he has made in the past. Who knows how he came to do the deals he does? About the Walmart thing, i do think walmart is bad, but if a store could get mass, diverse, and quality products and still pay its employees fairly then that would be good cause it would be efficient in many circumstances, not that I think all that will happen..

  • agree. And by the way I'm glad this argument has remained rational. :)

It's the nature of capitalism and the free market: If a business can make products that are of quality, sell better, pay their employees less, it's only a matter of time before companies that simply can't complete crumble.

It is ultimately the people who decide. And I know advertisements and hundreds of other things we see every day tell us to do this or that, but it's our job as consumers to educate ourselves.

  • i never understood this song till now. ha

  • i'm feeling this

  • The message i get is about how major corporations like walmarts and such are running mom and pop stores out of business..

  • YOu bafoons. This dope video contains a powerful life-saving message. In was response 2the public 4what was air'd on the news near the L.A. area that a sum1 was recruited n2 a gang & n order 2 b a part of their mafia, that person must kill 4innocent pple in Walmart! Pop your ignorance. Self-awareness. 1LOVE.

  • All you bafoons! This dope video contains a powerful life saving message. Didn't u hear on the news a few weeks ago that a gang had recruited someone and was told that in order 2 B a part of their mafia, they have 2kill 4 innocent people in Walmart, as their target!? Investigators caught this message thru txt messg & air'd this frightful warning n public. It was somewhere near the L.A. area. Godbless every1. One Luv. Erase the ignorance.

  • Youtube is censoring Alex Jones! This is wrong.

  • In 2003 there was a boy named Link, and his friends at school were bullying him and laughing at him because his name was the same as a game character. Half a year later he was found in the kitchen with a knife. He had slit his throat. If you don't put this on 3 videos in 10 minutes, he will stab you with the knife in your neck while you're asleep.

  • jamexxxx if u read this, u gonna die this night but if u send a picture with u'r mom who suckin hard a bulldog u'r life must safed!
