I mean I understand that little shops are going through hard times because of stores like Walmart but honestly when I go to a alittle store and I'm looking for something or want to do two things at once like buy a toy for my kid and get some grocerys done buy shampoo and all that Walmart is the most convienient most mom and pop shops don't have much selection

I work for the Cheesecake Factory.. and the money is great full benefits.. I can't complain.. However, I worked in mom and pops for over 10 years and they were no match for the corporate machine.. I seen this happen first hand where the mom and pop was no match for the corp that consumed them.. It's said. If your not a multibillion dollar corp you dont stand a chance..

That's ok. I'm not looking to impress you. he speaks of obvious truth. that's true. By The Grouch doing this song and the psp commercial is like someone participating in a Wal-Mart protest and then hours later he walks in that same store he was just protesting to buy that psp for his kids. Plain and simple he hasn't done anything to help the "cause". He's most likely hurt it. I guarantee you more people have seen that psp commercial than this song.
Your making very generalized points that you really don't have an details to support. He has continued to push hip-hop towards a direction that is based around "simple man" ideas (the everyday worker). Not too many hip hop artist talk about these issues and the fact that he continues to establish a fan base around these principles (through corporate ads) proves that his message has always been the same. All this stuff in their stores comes directly from China. My folks owned a bookstore. They had books for sale in Walmart from the same supplier that was cheaper on Walmart's shelf than the warehouse would sell it to them for.

My dad owned a home building company that he started 20 years ago. Your making very generalized points that you really don't have an details to support. He has continued to push hip-hop towards a direction that is based around "simple man" ideas (the everyday worker). Not too many hip hop artist talk about these issues and the fact that he continues to establish a fan base around these principles (through corporate ads) proves that his message has always been the same. How else does one succeed in a corporate society; by playing the game you knuckle head.

About the Walmart thing, i do think walmart is bad, but if a store could get mass, diverse, and quality products and still pay its employees fairly then that would be good cause it would be efficient in many circumstances, not that I think all that will happen..
