Have you not figured out by now that the generation we have lives like there is no tomorrow? I live in Los Angles, once I was waiting for a bus on the corner of sunset and vine in hollywood. There was the smell of cheap vodka and vomit as a passed out women just lay motionless on the concrete. I swear if she got up and wondered onto the road nobody would even show the slightest bit of empathy when her weak body gets run over. Evil means to Live now. Good is in the past. Live is Evil Backwards!

Bah, I've been rooting for the bad guys since I was little. I don't think I was concerned with "being mature" at that point. That's girl talk.

I'll just say that gaming is escapism. Most people actually exhibit alot of self control. They are polite to people they dislike; they don't slam the door, most of the time. In a game, they can shed their restraints. They can be violent, greedy and impulsive without fear of repercussions.

Also, while talking about superheroes you mention that relating to one isn't the point. You did start with talking about games, however, and relating to the character you play kinda in a game is the point, I believe.

As for dark and gritty worlds, I feel that they are easier to relate to; I don't find playing the good guy in a game particularly challenging or interesting either. Ambiguous choices and consequences have the potential to be much more interesting than choosing between good and bad.

In Just Part of my own opinion i think that people chose Evil over good because the Hero is just to cheezy i have done that don't think less of me please but sometimes you pick between for example a fluffy bunny (good) mega dragon (evil) obviously most would choose evil. I

f they made it more even as if a darker version of one self to choose from that is when you would see if people would choose good or evil.

There isn´t Good or Evil in the World, only actions that everyone commits each day and that change the life of a person. I think everyone deserves a chance to live, because we are surrounded by hipocrites who claim they are good when they are not. I say being Impartial is far better than being Good or Evil, because you are giving a chance for everybody to redeem themselves.
