  • One of my favorites. Great swing and love his focus when he plays.

  • I first saw greg norman in 1988 hitting drivers on the range at riverside oaks g/c (north of Sydney) i was directly behind him and there were few ppl there as it was a work day, i have never seen a golf ball hit with such authority as what i witnessed that day, just incredible and with the old clubs and balls, i miss watching him play, he was without doubt the most exciting player ever to watch!!!!!! come back and play in australia greg we need you............

  • I have to say my favorite golfer ever. Watching him was a thrill.

  • @simontherm

Ditto here. I got to see him play in person at Colonial in '92, and it was just so steady and so good. He shot about 66 or 67, I think it was, without breaking a sweat (he didn't win--I think Lietzke and maybe Pavin went into a playoff). Much more under control than his image would lead you to believe. Releases hell out of the clubhead and doesn't worry much about it. It's a great way to play. I don't think he was ever appreciated for what he was by most fans, but he is by me.

  • Nice rhythm, simple mechanics. Boy do I miss seeing him play more often.

  • So easy to see that he hits maximum clubhead speed at impact, nowhere else.

  • An outstanding golfer with a very free flowing action.
