yes, when you first start i would suggest just working with brands that do not cost a lot at all, but give off great color.

you should definitely try loreal HIP pigments. there are AWESOME shadows & give off wonderful color & easy to BLEND! i never had a palette & i still dont have one. all mine are seperate except for this quad i have from MAC.

BUT definitely try those shadows!
