i like the fact that she possibly knew this song, but i have to say, the original is the best and really; darren hayes is an amazing vocalist and you could say hes one of a kind cause no one can compare. its my favorite song from savage garden. ppl have talent but they will never take this song to a higher echelon than where its at.

This doesn't HAVE to be sung by a man. Da heck? Its about a mother being beat by her man and having to raise her kids the best way she knows how. The "I" in the song could be anyone. Just b/c the "I" happened to be the singer, doesn't mean it has to be male. The "I" represents ANY child that had to watch their mother go through it.
