Woohoo, new version of the Dune board game. Never played it, but heard only good things about it and love Dune. Although it takes part in the TI background now, it will probably rock. :)
@redsimonDE Thing is I haven't read the Dune books. But I've played the RTS, and I liked it. Also Twilight Imperium III interest me but I have no idea how much action there is and I don't have anyone to play with.
But Rex? Since it won't look like Dune it wont be Dune to me since I only know it from graphics not story.
Since it's Dune I assume it may not be twilight imperium.
So it's all open .. But I guess it won't be either? =P, will it be good? Waiting for reviews :)
DAM you all i want all those games to be released now !!! I think I was lucky Descent was sold out at my local gaming shop, if not last week I would have got it already, now I can wait for the second edition.

from what I read so far, the 2nd edition sucks compared to the original one, so I will still be buyin the old one. there will be a conversion kit anyway. a game of thrones is worse, that 2nd edition looks pretty sweet. but I just bought the old version plus both expensions a few month ago, so I probably will not be gettin the 2nd edition so soon. but the original is awesome anyways. it has wooden figures at least, the new one will get plastic figures that look like the old ones
@WuschelofDespair Conversion kit is probably so you can get (everything? units? expansions?) into the new game. Not so you can use the old game as a base for the new expansions or so. Though the later would make more sense as in complement everything in the new with whatever needed instead of buying new and move old stuff in even though you already got an old edition.
Less everything for more money suck. But I would probably go 2nd edition anyway.
yeah I figured the thing with the conversion kit out by now, but thanks for the answer :) got the first edition now and I like it. but the white dragon was missin and I had a second white demon instead. luckly heidelberger spieleverlag (the ones that publish FFG games in germany) will send me a white dragon. in a few years I might check out the 2nd edition
do i have to rebuy descent and all its expansion since 2nd edition is out. i am not about to drop my hard earn cash on everything again. upgrade pack ok,but not rebuy descent core game and expansion.
