@Freddytk421 I want to learn to weld real bad. How did you get all of that equipment and house?? I can't find anything(pref. welding job or work that involves welding) besides fast food or day labor and that shit just isn't amounting to much.... Any advice you could give would be great.
The camo welding hood tells me all I need to know....btw, your technique isn't very good. Dragging or laying the rod on the weld like that is good for walking the cup but not mush else. I always dip, unless I am filling a hellacious gap. Get the metal wet, then shove some rod in there. And regarding your comment about changing position...the measure of a good weldor is being able to weld in awkward positions. Left-handed with the pedal under your knee if necessary.
Hey got a vid request tc16 lo hydrogen rods for arc welding 2.5 mm size i can weld relitivly well then dad brought a packet of rods home from work and jesus are the hard to start iv got a 140a 220v single phase arc welder please help
Great video. Good tiggin required a lot of practice. I like to practice with my left and right hand in order to be good with both hands. That way if I have to position myself a certain way in order to get access to the area to be welded, I can use either hand.
I am right handed but I prefer using my left hand to control the torch. I've got the Everlast 256pro and I love it. Great plasma cutter too!
Also I recommend doing some gas welding as it will help you understand puddle management.
All it takes is practice. I've got the Everlast 256pro and I love it. But it took a little while to get good with it especially with aluminum.
I also recommend practicing with the left and right hand (if you have them!). That way you can tig in almost any position left to right or right to left. Makes for easier tiggin in certain instances where you need to position yourself in order to get a good shot at the area to be welded.
You should not pull the torch away fast. You want to keep the torch at the weld for a few seconds after you let up on the pedal, so that the shielding gas stays on the metal until it cools down. You should have the post flow settings , so that the gas keeps coming out for a few seconds after you let up on the pedal.
Hey freddy could you possibly make a video on how to do verticle ups with 7018's. im pretty good when it comes to flat and horizontal, but i suck at vertical. I would highly appreciate it if you could thanks.
@giter1234 That's a tough one for me too. I did it before for a cert but it took me a few tries. Ill try it out and I guess post it whether or not I get it.
awesome video, i got a triangle burn one time on my chest, i picked up a leather 6X6 for the hood. i always cut my rod in half for better control, i alway go right to left like at 4:00. try out the pulse, i like that better than the footpedal. the smoke alarm sounds like a a/c alarm. and the garage door cables will stress being a couple inches off the floor, two block of 2x4 wood one each side and manually lowered will prolong the cables. i do the same for ventilations. thumbs up good review

@sickdeathshappen That one does not have pulse. The other one I have is pulse but no plasma so I like this one better if I could only have one.
