I figured the first video was the lie before watching the 2nd though it confirmed it for me. visually he kept bringing his hands together in the first movie like he is trying to conceal something.
It is kinda odd, but I actually knew he was lying in Interview A because he was too focused on moving his hands in that one that his head barely ever moved and in interview B he nodding and shaking his head along with the description.
i knew he was lying about the core because he used to much detailed and described the movie too much showing that he really wanted the person to believe he wasnt lying
yea i knew it was the core he lied on cuz if you look closely his eyes keep moving around in nlp terms he's searching for information and he was stuttering alot. also wat i noticed is his hand movement as he explained the movie..the first one his fingers stayed interlocked and his hand were at times folded which usually sometimes means hes hiding something or could be lieing. da 2nd video if u look closely his body language changed he seemed more relax no stutters and his hands kept being open
I assumed the first interview was the lie right away, because he seemed too intelligent to enjoy 'The Core'.
However - I changed my mind during the next interview (The Fifth Element) because, while he mentioned music romance religion and Bruce Willis, he seemed to avoid actual story details.
I learned how to tell which is the lie through Dr. Wiseman's book "Quirkology". =D The lie has less to do with his micro-behaviour (although there is some basis in this) than what he said, and it's all explained in the book.
Reading bodylanguage like this is relatively easy still not very effective if it comes for example to resolve crimes ect. if you want to hide something its very easy. its not about lying. its about while telling the truth making it appear as if its a lie. so you confuse without problems a bodylanguage specialist.
In A You Can Really Tell He Is Lieing BIG TIME, Becouse, Of All His Stuttering, And RUSHED Hand Movment. B Was Really Relaxed And Easy To Understand. I WAS RIGHT LOL
ok.. there was a experiment.. he talks about his thoughts about two movies.. but one of them was a lie he actually didnt like the movie.. u had to guess which one was the lie.. this reveals that he was lying about the movie core
yep i knew it, in A to much movement and blinking, and waving his hands to much, in B he seemed for fit and relaxed, his hand was on the couch and he smiled a little, and a less blinking
i just thought because when people lie they seem to give waaaay too much info... when i sneek up soda to my bedroom i put it in a cup. and i say "oh dad im just getting a drinking cup thats it." when he didnt even ask...
the bit about the core was very prepared, contrived, etc., particularly in his tone, and it felt like he was just looking for things to say about the movie based on generic descriptions of other movies.
I got it right, purely because The Core is a crap film, which I can't ever imagine anyone rating as their favourite.
The 5th element on the other hand is one of my favourite films. So I can understand how someone else would like it.
I knew the Core wasn't his favourite about half way through the 1st video. The idea of him or anyone liking so much they consider it a favourite is just dumb.
I got it right but it was because 'The Core' is such an awful joke as far as science goes it was clear that it was very unlikely any science-trained person could tolerate it unless they made specific reference to the fact that the bad science made them laugh (instead of angry, as it does for most).
Not a great experiment because the two stories were not equivalent.

He could have picked a better fake favorite movie than The Core...

I suspected he was lying about The Core also, simply because his answers seemed rehearsed.

This wasn't a good lie detector experiment- everybody knows the core is shit. Doesn't take much intuition to figure that out.

The science is rubbish in this experiment.
Soon as I heard "The Core", I could tell he was lying.
It's shit!

Is he left handed by any chance? I know this seems random, but watch the first few seconds of both.

I found the giveaway was the constant umms and ahhs during the lying segment, when he tells the truth it's smooth flowing and the pitch is warm

I got it right!
I mainly went on the bases that he talks more of what the Core is about and the storyline, rather than little bits that he liked and stuff.
.. if you understand me. :D
