  • i have also heard of closing the door. you can have the dog on one side and the cat on the other and one person on both sides of the door. the person can click for the dog sitting or laying down with the cat on the other side. the other person can pet or feed the cat while she/he is being introduced. you can open the door a crack and click for the dog if he stays calm, continuing opening the door and little by little introducing them.

  • this is a good video, i have a 1 year old cat called simba and he was really aggressive as soon as my partners dog was introduced to him, its been two days now and so far there hasnt been any major incidents yet other than my partner getting bitten by simba. I truly hope they get on with each other as i dont want to have get rid of my cat and the same for my partners dog. fingers crossed it gets better in time.

  • great job :)

  • Good clear video - thanks so much! Now to try it with Isobel my Westie!

  • can someone look at my video of dog and cat my dog originally would chase cry and bark when seeing the cat. in one room in the house my dog will not chase the cats because she is rarely aloud in this room its the cats "territory" (the room the video is taken in)but if the dog sees the cats out in the house or they get to close she will try and chase. my cats are to scarred to walk around freely in the house even when my dog is in her crate so its very hard to get them acquainted please help

  • Our cat, Coco finally feels more comfortable around our two terriers. She stands her ground now. She still does not lie with them so we still a ways to go before that happens

  • Thanks for posting! I have a 9 week old beagle puppy who tries to chase play my cat (and the cat is a pushover, does not defend herself) so I was trying to figure out how best to teach my puppy not to respond to my cat and be calm. I'm definitely going to try your method! Thanks for the help! :)

  • This is going to be SO SO HELPFUL! Thanks for posting! I have three cats and I'm getting a seven month old puppy in a few days. This has real put me at ease.

  • hello Sian, thank you for this video, it's really helpful. I have two dogs and now a little cat has appeared. at the moment he lives outside and i'm trying to get the dogs used to him. He sleeps on a window sill in the day and the dogs can see him so i'm working on capturing calm. How do you know when it's safe to leave them alone together?

  • your such a good trainer

    good job

  • that cat and my cat are CLONES!!!

how old is your cat? mine is 14, and she has green eyes and that EXACT strip down her muzzle/nose, and she's a very slender under all her fluff

  • This video is great, my dog is good with my cats since he was raised with them. I just got a ferret and he is obsessed, I want them to be able to be in the same room and both out. I am going to use this as a start. You did a wonderful job with your dog, now just to calm down mine.

  • oh , this is really good , but my puppy is 8 weeks old , would it work on him?

  • How did you get your cat to be comfortable with your dog? We have a very shy cat, and does not want to be around our new puppy.

  • Thanks for the video.

I guess this is a very common problem in dog/cat households, as it is in mine as well.

I appreciate you took the time to show this lesson.

  • Please help!!!

  • I am getting a new cat soon and we currently have 1 cat and 2 dogs. Will the dogs react a little better since there's already a cat in the household. And they are a labrador retriever, she's like 12, and a chihuahau (srry I can't spell) terrier mix, and she's, well she's not the nicest animal in the world!!

  • what if its the other way around? my dog wants to play with my cat, but my cat is always hissing at him. my cat has even scratched my dog in the face two times!

  • wat if your cat hisses at ur new puppy

  • wat if the cat hisses at ur new dog ?

  • HI, I HAVE JUST HAD MY SISTER COME TO LIVE AT MY HOUSE AND SHE HAS A HUSKY. THE THING IS THE CAT IS PETRIFIED AND WONT COME NEAR AS WELL AS THE DOG CHASING HIM. ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT.

  • your dog will be so fat if you keep doing this . . .

  • Absolute brilliant work! Your pup is gorgeous. I have a Border Collie aswell and he gets on perfectly with my cat ever since he was a pup. They are currently sleeping side-by-side on my bed :) Again, excellent work!

  • Oh wow this is so helpfull, i have a three year old Yorkie/maltese, and am thinking about taking in a cat. I am trying to do my research before hand, so i can make sure i know what i am getting into. Your video was great, i only hope i can douplicate the results. :]

  • @Reign6917 best of luck with your new kitty :) I'm sure it will work out fine, though at first there might be issues between them one they are used to each other it should be smooth running :)

  • Like this very much and it will help demo to a client that these methods really work and give him hope. Thanks. Tlc

  • i'm going to try this with my cat & dog. thanks!

  • do you think a german shepord about 6 months old will get along witha 2 year old cat?

  • I really found this helpful. I gonna try but I have a dog and 2 cats! Wish me luck!

  • i have a 6 month old husky puppy and a 3 year old cat they both dont get along but if my pup comes to my cat and does nothing my cat hisses and hits him automatically what should i do? oh and thanks for this video i will try it =)

  • Thank you so much for this awesome video, I'm going to try it with my very boisterous 3 month old Border Collie and very shy Burmese cat (the poor thing practically lives outside now)

  • My dog is fine with my cat and is actually scared if it. A german sheperd! It's my cat I have a prob wif. What do I doo

  • it's so cute! I fear I'm gonna die XD

hope my dog will come to love cat one day ...

  • Great video! Hmm.......I think I need a tutorial on how to train my kitten to be polite and be calm with my dog. My kitten loves to slap my dog's face and bite my dog. However, they can sleep together peacefully. Luckily now my kitten don't bully my dog as often and their relationship improved a lot. =)

  • my goodness, that cat was quite the diva. haha

  • @meekface202 haha, she is actually much calmer than she used to be, she wouldn't even come in the house when Mabel was first brought home!! she's a very shy cat!

  • @zsianz1 I would have never guessed, haha. Um, how long should each clicker training session be? and how many training sessions should there be a day?

  • @meekface202 I would say around 2-3 short 5-10 minute training sessions a day to begin with and see how it goes.

  • I enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting.

  • GREAT TIPS WILL TRY IT

  • This is another great video! Lots of great tips and ideas. I am always amazed at your depth of coverage. I've been very fortunate that there's never been a problem with any of my dogs or cats. I can see how this would apply to any number of other situations, as well. My 17 year old cat got sick the other evening and my puppy came and got me and led me back to her. How sweet it that?!!

  • good instructions for a common problem. My dog gets excited when visiting at her dog-friends' homes, so I'll try using this training in that situation, too.

  • My partner Glenn and I just viewed your video and are eager to begin trying the tips suggested with my cat and his 2 dogs. Do you have any advice for 2 dogs? They are small dogs, Charlie is Border Terrier and Moe is a Carin Terrier. We have been together for a year and my cat still feels very intimidated by having the dogs in what was originally her home first. What's worse is they both gang up on her when she tries to sneak out of a room unnoticed and chase her which makes her even more upset!

  • @SallaExie train with just one dog at a time in the beginning, if they leave your cat alone when she is sitting about and only try and chase her when she is on the move then this is the area you are going to have to do the most work on but any positive interactions with your cat should be rewarded. try feeding with a tube of cheese as a reward and reward constantly when your cat is moving. even keep the cheese on you so as you can reward the moment the cat moves. hope that helps some :-)

  • @zsianz1 thank you for your suggestions. We will keep you posted as to our progress.

  • @SallaExie great, good luck with it.

  • can you tell us plz we dont have any sound sorry:(

  • I've been trying to teach Sleet not to harrass one of our cats...she's worse with one than the other...unfortunately, I have two parents who refuse to learn and so they keep undoing my hard work. Any tips on training human beings, lol?

Sleet doesn't bother the cat so much when there's just me around but put my mother anywhere near and she goes back to stressing out about the cat.

  • @Canislupess frustrating!! sorry but I have no tips for parent training, if you find a way to clicker train them I would be grateful if you would let me know your secret!! hahaha!

  • Hi Sian, this video is very helpful because as you know, I have a cat myself and am getting a BC puppy soon so will follow this video carefully. x x

  • Thank you! I'm off to buy a clicker :D

  • thank you! my dog is not good with my cat at all! this is help me alot!

  • great video. thanks for sharing. i have a new dog and will try this introducing him in this manner to my cats.

  • This is fantastic! I'm going to recommend this to a family that adopted my foster who is having issues with their cat!

    Thank you!!!

  • I hope it helps! the trick is to just build up very slow, and obviously not leave them unsupervised! it can be hard work to get everyone to live peacefully but I found this technique to work for me :-)

  • I am going to try that one with my dog and my kids; the cats are ok; they generally swat my 13 week old puppy away, but the kids are really nervous of him at times. They want to like the dog, but he chases them, so thank you for your video.

  • nice video!

  • My dogs won't dare chase my cat, she would slice them up. But my collie wants to chase other cats. I think I will hang at my neighbours with their cats one day next week, and do this. Much thanx!

  • Great video- i'll have some work to do on this subjects.

Would you change anything in your training if you had a v. shy cat?

  • as far as the dog training goes I don't think I would, I would maybe suggest that you work on it out on walks also when you see other cats, click and treat as soon as you see a cat in the distance (don't try being too close and if a cat takes you by surprise then don't keep on trying to train, just turn around and walk a good distance from your cat) and build up until your dog is relaxed around any cat you see. you could also try a bit of clicker training on your cat? just a thought.

  • Thanks for the reply. I kinda have been working on it outside- although that's a hard one those cats pop up anywhere :))

Will let you know how we're getting along .

  • This is so great! Thank you so much. I have 4 cats and I'm planning on adding a dog to our family. My husband thinks there will be a constant fight, but your video gives me hope.

  • cool i will try this kk and hopefully it works cause my dog is gettin big and we wot be abl;e to calm him soon

  • where did u get the cliker??

  • Can i train my cat the same way? My cat doesn't want to leave my dog alone. He is for lack of better words a "jerk". When I finally get my dog calmed down, the cat comes over and tries to get the dog fired up again.

  • hehe, you made me giggle calling your cat a jerk! yes, it's well worth a try if your cat likes treats and shows interest in them. I'm guessing that if you can get your dog to the stage of not reacting to your cat your cat won't keep on doing this though. if your cat is being aggressive towards your dog then I think it is acceptable to let your dog give your cat a warning growl or something like that, to an extent they both have to learn each others line that they mustn't cross.

  • thanks I'll practice this

  • Wow, you simply are a genius!

I'm still shocked to see how your methods work like Magic! You are the best dog trainer I have ever seen!

And by the way, is your cat a 'cinchilla', I'm not so sure though. Still getting a hang of Cat breeds. Anyways, did you notice that Laura was actually teasing Mabel. By doing that thing with the tail. Maybe that's why it Mabel pissed, hah! But, it's magic that your method worked so well!

  • Haha, thank you so much for your lovely comment!! oh Lara is just a farm cat, not any special breed I don't think! in fact all my pets are from farms, no fancy breeding or anything! Lara knows how to get to Mabel, she will now sit in Mabels bed but Mabel is such a sweetheart she will just get into bed with her or leave her there! haha! Mabel will still stand up to the cat if the cat gets too much though which I see as a good thing :-)

  • No Problems !!

    Ohhk..

I see in many videos on BCs that they require heavy mental and physical stimulation and require 2 hours of free running a day. I mean, you have 2 BC's, how do you work with both of them? How do get both enough exercise? Do you live next to a park or somewhere?

Wow, Haha! That's certainly very sweet of Mabel to do that. She must be very sweet tempered. By the way I love that name 'mabel!' Another dog trainer named both their BC's 'handsome' and 'gorgeous'. Haha, so cute!!

  • I am lucky enough to live in the country side so exercise is not a problem :-) I used to live in the town when I first got Holly though and that meant lots of long walks!! lucky I like walking! haha! oh I know, aren't Handsome and Gorgeous lovely names!!!! and really cute dogs too :-)

  • Ohh, I see. So, the situation a person lives really helps!

I cannot imagine keeping a BC right now since I live in an appartment, and I don't have a huge open fenced space where I could have my BC run freely. And I would not want to keep my collie stressed and end up with destucitive behavior. And they aren't really for first time dog owners.

That's why, I'm really considering a Sheltie. I simply love that breed!

Haha. I wonder if someone could name both their dogs, 'romeo & Juliet' haha!

  • yes it is a help where I live, but it depends on your lifestyle also, I know people that live in small spaces with their collies but enjoy doing things like hiking with the dogs or other outdoor activities and they get on just fine. But you are right, they can be a handful and Shelties are such great dogs :-) aaahhh, that would be super cute to name dogs romeo and juliet!!!!!

  • Neat, thanks for the video! Don't have any cats at the moment, but might try it with my ferret... maybe, lol. :)

Hehe, see you have the Wii (3:35), or at least the box!

  • Great job!!

  • very clever! Great job!

  • Great video, thank you for sharing. I have a question that perhaps you could answer though. What to do when your new cat is part of the problem? It's a tough situation, my dog Wilson really wants to go investigate the new cat (Gordon). I don't know if Wilson wants to chase Gordon or if it's just that he wants to meet the cat properly. We're too nervous to find out! But Gordon doesn't like the dog, he hisses and swipes when Wilson comes near. I am at a loss on what to do!

  • hey, thank you for your comment! if you have just introduced Gordan and Wilson (love the names!) then do be patient, it's often not an easy transition for a dog and cat to move in together! but you're right to keep an eye on the situation. does your cat like food? treats I mean? if so why not try clicker training your cat?! but if your cat doesn't want your dog near him at all then Wilson is going to have to be the bigger man and stay back! mail me if you want more info.

  • You have no idea how excited I am about this video! My room mates have 3 dogs and won't allow me to get a cat because the dogs don't get along with cats. I've taken the initiative to train their dogs and have had great results over the last 6 weeks. I can't wait to tell them that I can train the dogs to do well with the cat. Yay - now I get to have a dog and a kitty! WOO HOO! Thanks! :)

  • aww, that's awesome!! I would take this very slow though, and train them one at a time, if one dog gets excited or aggressive then it might set them all off so only one dog at a time. I should also say that it is always best to have lots of safe places for the cat to get away and never leave a cat alone with dogs that have shown aggression towards cats, you don't want them to get the chance to give the cat a hard time behind your back! any questions, just ask :-)

  • Great video.

  • my cat dosent like my dog, my dog LIKES MY CAT its wierd.

  • hehe, it's funny how often that seems to be the case! I think I need to do a tutorial on training CATS to be calm with dogs! hehe!

  • Most of what we've seen of Niko's behavior is that he has a lot of confidence. He lived with other dogs in his previous home. He will move into a space the dogs are occupying and has kept my greyhound trapped on my bed because she didn't want to walk by him. I think he's being antagonistic "what are you going to do now?" response, not actively aggressive. So that's half the time. The other half is when the dogs approach head on and then he tells them to go away which is defensive.

  • does Niko like food? I mean would he appreciate treats or cat milk for instance? because it may well work to try clicker training on your cat, also keep working on getting your dogs relaxed around your cat too as it won't help things if your dogs feel uneasy around him, it will probably contribute to Niko's behaviour. Make the goal for them just to tolerate each other and don't worry if they don't end up best friends!

  • Great video. What do you do when the cat is part of the problem? We went through a long classical conditioning phase introducing our two dogs to the new cat and have approximate peace. A few instances of dogs ganging up on cat and chasing. But then the cat, Niko, will scratch and hiss at the dogs if they come close, sometimes when they don't even realize he's there. Any ideas?

  • does Niko approach your dogs to be aggressive, scratch and hiss? or is it only when the dogs go near Niko (either to approach your cat or by accident) we need to find out the root of the problem. Is your cat teasing your dogs, playing, being actively aggressive or defensive? the problem may be that your dogs are still being too much for your cat or that your cat is fearful because of being chased in the past or another reason and it's key to find out which. let me know what you think.

  • I just gave your method a try. It worked very nicely. My 5 month border/mix is wild around my two cats. I did a first session when she was a little tired in the evening and I tethered her to my waist allowing me good control of the proximity she got to the dog. I also "fake" clicked the cat as I haven't found a good cat treat. Your video was very clear so I will work at this and hope to have peace in my home soon.

  • that's great news! please do let me know if you have any questions. and thank you for taking the time to comment :-)

  • quien dijo que no pueden ser amigos? es maravilloso mi gato y mi perra son grandes amigos

He said that can not be friends? my cat is wonderful and my dogs are great friends

  • i love all your videos, great way to explain clicker training,I'm gonna use it for my gsd puppy, check out my pup too,lol

  • Hey, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, thank you so much for your lovely comments :-) I'll check out your channel now. Happy training!!

  • GREAT VID :D

  • mabel is adorable!!!

  • I have been using this technique with my Ridgeback puppy and two Siamese cats and its really paying off!

we got to a point where i can get one cat to sit next to me when my puppy is on my lap and she lets the puppy lick and sniff her for a couple of minutes before she leaves.

The other cat is still resentful towards her and doesnt get close but shes getting much better and calmer next to her.

So thanks again for the tutorial!

  • that's so great, I'm really glad it's working for you :-) clicker training really is so effective :-) keep me posted on your progress and thank you very much for taking the time to comment again, it's really great to hear from you!

  • Great video, very very well done. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your knowhow!

  • and thank YOU for taking the time to write me such a nice comment! any questions, just ask :-)

  • VERY good video

  • Nice instruction video! And your cat are behaving perfect for training your dog to doesnt care too much about her. I havent any big catproblems, but it would be good to meet a calm cat to train on.

  • yes, my cat is pretty calm in the video but she wouldn't go near my puppy in the beginning, once my pup started to be more gentle and stay back my cat started to pluck up courage to come forward, I think that's the better way round for it to happen, but obviously if you have a very nervous cat it might not happen!

  • great video! i couldn't find anything remotely as useful as this on the web, thanks!

i will try this with my ridgback puppy and two adult Siamese cats. hope it wont be to hard as ridgebacks usually have strong prey drive.

  • awesome!

  • You certainly have a way with animals. Your methods are great and you have one brave cat. I'm assuming that comes from experience. I'm not sure how long the cat would have lasted with our SImon. Keep up the good work. We'll be watching.

  • Hi, Great video! Your dog is so cute. I want to try this technique but I'm afraid it might be harder seeing as my cat doesn't like being near the dog. The only undesirable thing he does is chase her (if she runs). I think he also gently nibbles her leg or tail (not biting) after licking her if he gets too excited. My cat's not really interested in him so i'm not sure how to go about getting them near eachother for him to not scare her away but still see her. :P

  • hey, you know if you have a cat that really likes food then clicker training works for cats too, maybe you could try offering your cat treats for being near your dog. also if you tie your dog up and then encourage your cat in then your cat will gain confidence once she knows your dog can't chase her. mail me if you want more tips :-)

  • Thanks for the tip! The other day I tried encouraging her to be near him by having him tied up and then playing with feathers (her fav toy) 1-2m away from him. She stayed guarded though. My cat loves eating but she's not too fond of treats, unless its chicken, (maybe I should use that?). I do have a question though. If my dog goes up to the cat, he tends to lick her and nudge her. Should I not let him do that at all? Or should I only tell him off when he's too rough?

  • I'll send you a quick mail about this as I don't have enough room to post my reply here!

  • Great training and video. I'm going through this training with my 10 month old rescue lab and my 11 year old cat - it took kitty 2 years to get used to our golden retriever that recently passed... clicker training makes such a big difference. Your cat is gorgeous as is the cute dog! Thanks.

  • That's so great! I'm really pleased it's working for you, it's not much fun living in a house where the pets can't be in the same room!! Thank you so much for the lovely comment :-)

  • Hi, somehow youTube won't accept my comments if I answer, so this is about jackkksplat's question: I've found that for my dogs it's a big difference whether they meet "their own" cat or a stranger, so I think for your dog training with just any cat on neutral territory might even be harder than with your own cat inside your own house. My dogs love "their" cat, they really do, they grew up with him - but they will still show any stranger cat the garden gate - or fence - straight away!

  • Wow, good job! I have a dog walking client with a puppy that chases her cats. I will have to try this with her. Do you have suggestions for barking when your not home?

  • mabel is so cute! sigh. what would be an intermediate step between having the cat in another room and having the cat in the room right next to your dog. My dog is crazy for cats. the smell alone will set her off. at a distance I can get her to pass a cat that is sitting still but she always wants to go back and check that spot. any movement and she is just immediatley and without thinking trying to chase.

  • You could try getting your dog used to a cat outside where the territory is neutral, with the cat a long distance away and then gradually move closer to the cat. If your dog is so excited by cats it will just take a bit longer, its important to find what your dog CAN tolerate and then expose them to that situation as much as possible and then build up very slowly. Mail me if you want more help :-)

  • Awesome!

  • Awesome training, well done! I have a blind cat so none of my dogs have ever had a problem with him .. he doesn't run away. I often wonder how he would have felt if he suddenly regained his sight and saw a huge Rottie looking at him him square on!

  • Oh bless him! he would have a real shock if he got his sight back! It's funny how cats can sense if they are in danger though, my cat used to really love my last dog but she isn't so keen on Holly and Mabel as they play too rough for her!

  • You are awesome! I like to watch your video's :)

  • Thank you. all you have to do is comment and rate them 5* to keep them coming :-)

    Happy training :-)

  • Wow, Excellent!

Great work for Mabel and you!

  • Great advice Sian - although Milo has zilch aggression towards my three cats he will still sometimes chase if they run and he will insist on washing the two kittens, somewhat forcefully. So a little bit of work to do on that. I keep finding a very soggy cat:).

  • Oh your comment made me laugh! Wish you would send Milo round to wash my cat, she only bothers to wash when she gets brushed! haha!

  • mabel is getting so big now :)

  • Haha I know! She still likes to go in and out of the cat flap and I can see her getting stuck very soon!

  • thanks for shring this video! I have to try on Happy! she's rude to cats :/ Mabel is doing soo greatly! Mabel looks so much calmer after the training :D

  • Thanks! yes the training is helping no end but she still has her crazy moments and I wouldn't have it any other way :-)

  • Very nice, like the two on the couch. Miyako is the same, and I can get her to settle after she spends some time with a cat, but each new cat seems to be a new learning experience. Hardest part is when the cat runs, as I am sure you know.

  • Oh yes! Mabel was a real pest chasing Lara when she would run. That was what took the longest to sort out and I still do have training sessions to try and keep on top of it :-)

  • Great video!:)

  • 5*****! first off, I love your accent, and It makes me miss visiting london. 2nd, you are so so great for creating a channel to help others learn! thx! :-)

  • Another really good video. Well done.

Ziggi being a pointing breed is calm around cats but just fixates on them. If there is a cat in the room she can stay fixated for hours!!! Your video has given me a push to actually try and stop this. Not sure I will be successful as the fixation is very strong that I don't think there is any point when she is unfixated. Once the cat is out of the room she completely forgets it. Sigh! Any tips?

  • hey sian! great video! I have loved too much!!

but I have no cat but, anyway, congratulations!!!

by the way, mabel is growing so so fast, she´s so big and so beautiful too!!!

    cheers

  • Wonderful video Sian!! Mabel is so calm around your cat, it just shows you how much of a wonderful trainer you are! Thank so much for making this! your cat is sooo beautiful btw and Mabel has really grown ^^

    5*****

  • thank you Sarah! I hope you and your Samson and Sheena are all well.

  • Very helpful video. I currently don't own a cat, but I'll know what to do if ever I do. Love your videos.

    -Pascale.

  • That was an excellent video. One thing that is new to me but I really appreciate is your statement about when the dog is too excited to actually eat go ahead & drop the treat anyway, that it will still make a difference in their learning. Happy ending:) Lara is exquisite!

  • Yes, I was amazed that it would still work if they didn't eat the treat and right enough it does take a bit longer but there is no doubt that it is still working, I have another dog that pulls on the leash when excited and the clicker worked with that too even though she wouldn't take the treat at first. Thank you for your comment and Lara sends you kitty purrs!

  • You are a good trainer! I like how you only use reward-based methods

  • Thank you! that's really nice to hear, you made my day :-)

  • This is REALLY helpful for my animals. I have a rescue dog that feels the need to keep my cat from coming inside the house. About how long did you have to put into each session that you were training Mabel with Lara in the other room for it still to be interesting for Mabel?

  • hey, thank you for the comment, I've mailed you some extra pointers that may or may not be of help!

  • Mabel has gotten big, and absolutely beautiful!

    what a wonderful dog.

    excellent training. (:

  • Thank you so much :-) really great of you to take the time to comment.

  • beautiful example of how clicker training is so effective.

    thank you!

can you leave the two alone yet?

  • Thank you!

I think the answer to that would be yes, but I don't! I don't think you can be to careful and I'm going to wait until I'm 100% sure she wouldn't harm Lara (my cat) even when she is at her most excited and she is only 4 months so I don't want to set her up to fail!

  • i asked because i am wondering if my foster dog is bullying my adopted dog when i leave them. foster is def a dominant type and my adopted is extremely submissive. foster has been here about 5 weeks, but the last few days my adopted girl has shaking, pacing spells and general fearfulness. you are so right, you can never be too careful.

  • There could be other reasons for the nervous behaviour, however I didnt leave my two dogs alone together until Holly had become happy to be around Mabel which thankfully didn't take too long. However if your foster dog is bullying your other dog then that is not a good behaviour for them to get into Don't suppose you could leave a camera running while you go out and see what they get up to? just a thought.

  • its odd, sometimes they play (chasing and wrestling) and even

sleep touching under the covers. but definately the foster is physically pushy. i've done some clicker work with her and she's improved in alot of areas, but i think i will leave them alone with a cam running. thanks so much for your help.

  • I wish clicker training would work on cats, & I could stop Olive from lording it over Paddy!

  • Give it a go! Seriously, Olive is a clever cat and clicker training works with cats too! Look up mouse agility if you dont believe other species can do it!

  • Very good video. I liked this issue because I live with a border collie, a malinois, two cats collected in the street and now my son Dani, 10 months.

It is very important to me and to them that peace reigns at home among species, we do not need stress at home, it is our place of rest. For all.

A very important message to send this video. 5 stars go to Scotland ;))))))

  • Thank you so much. It sounds like you have a house full!! I agree, there is nothing worse than a house at war! Thank you for your continuing support of my videos, every comment is so very much appreciated :-)

  • Not support your video if not done a great job ;))). You have a philosophy very similar to mine and I learn a lot watching your workouts.

thank you for sharing your work.

  • Thank you once again, I'm very lucky to have such a friend :-D

  • Mabel looks like she just wants to be friends with the cat now.

  • Yes, it was a real shame that I didn't get the time when Mabel was going for the cat because she really was a nightmare! this is why I posted this because it really did work wonders :-)
