Blame the packager not the carrier, the product looks like it was shipped with hardly any protection at all. Amazon and companies on it are notorious for putting things like hard drives in empty boxes to get knocked around and busted. If its packaged right it should be completely safe from delivery handling. It should have been in a foam mold in a box that was bubble wrapped with styrofoam or packed with crumpled newspaper, not in a couple plastic bags in an oversized thin box.

That totally sucks.  I say it's UPS' fault for not handling the package with care. I have not had any problems with Amazon yet. I usually just buy used books from them to save money. If you don't hear back from UPS, then call them again and ask to see a manager. UPS obviously cannot supply you with the same product unless you buy a new one, but you can demand that they refund your money for being careless.

Worked at a warehouse for short time, had to put bottles in a lorries. Boxes were usually weak quality. This one time where they were so fuckin' weak & the other guy had loads that leaked as bottles inside cracked & boxes went soggy & broke. Half of the container smelt like strong whisky lol then we had to sweep the shit up.

Bosses worked us like dogs there making us fill 100's of lorries rapidly in a heat wave. We couldn't even have drinks in the warehouse. Fuck that place.

Not everything is shipped from amazon, these are products that people like you and I would sell, and then they either ship it themselves, or they send it to amazon so amazon can ship it to you. It says right their that it will be sold and shipped by a seller named 'simplybeautiful'.
