Entertaining video on first view. Probably due to an excellent job on the actors part in taking very basic, very un original character concepts and story lline and bringing them/it to life. If that is a result of Justin's direction then great job on his part also. Caitlin succeeds for the first time in actually making me not think I'm watching the hill 88, but a character, (school girl) and that is no easy accomplishment considering the amount of exposure she has had as "the hill 88."

Doug is flawless. Acting without dialogue would seem to be a very difficult thing and they both manage to create a depth in there characters that would not be easily found in the general concept. Not to shoot it down completely, its nice in its simplicity but the abusive teacher (society) and rebellious student (adolescence) breaking out on her own could have one or two twist to make it slightly different from any other piece making the same statement. TAKE SOME CHANCES young MAN! :)

@ Shilpinator Blah. People are too quick to jump to 24 frames per second. The only time you should shoot 24p is if you're going to print to film. If you want a film look, shoot on film. Shot composition and great lighting is what makes something look professional. The video was pretty good. Expected a little more from Justin, but wasn't bad. Was the grain added on purpose or was it the use of the Gain that added it?

It's a $99 Music Video. I could have used my Brevis + 35mm lens or a fancy HVX -- but everyone else has done that and people are like "OMG THAT CAMERA IS EXPENSIVE!" so I shot it with my Canon SD400 digital camera in video mode ... kept it low budget looking and I fit it all in under $99 (including the camera!) -- so that's why
