I would absolutely love to have a Thanksgiving or Christmas supper in such an ambiance. Everything cooked in a hearth with wood. Would be great to have the place lighted without electricity too for an even greater rustic ambiance--but the kitchen is perfect. These lost arts need to be nurtured in our day as well. There's no such thing as "old fashioned"! Thanks for the video.
My parents, Ed and Joan Friedland, pioneered this activity in Lisbon back in the early 1960s. I grew up like this. They were instrumental in the restoration of numerous structures including the John Bishop house. Which home was this event held in?
I bet it's hot as a fire log in there.
