I have the amtrak surfliner with all the extra cars railking made for it, in their orginal boxes, and am just now putting them up for sale, they are mint. they are on craigslist today and maybee Ebay tomorow
I have been looking all over to find this MTH Surfliner set, which is at the top of my son's Christmas list. I'm finally resorting to contacting people who have it to see if you might be interested in selling it. Probably not; I know it's really cool. But I'm just trying to pull out all the stops to make it happen for my sweet son.
@ToFishTeacher Hi, I'm sorry to say you are correct in that I am really not looking to part with my set, it is pretty cool... And I know they are hard to find at this point, especially with the 3 add on cars I have, however, I did a little looking for you and "may" have found you a set. I will send you the link... Wouldn't want the boy disappointed...
I have the exact same mth amtrak but is this with the upgraded 2.0 in it because mine the ditch lights dont work and it does not sound at all as good as this!
Really sweet AMTRAK. One of the big things I look for on videos is dressed up rolling stock, it just makes the train look so much cooler. I noticed your submarine on a flat track and it really cracked up, very nice surprise. When I start my first HO set for my Christmas village I'm getting extra rolling stock for that reason. I want one of those wooden railing cars to put Christmas trees in. I'll have to think of other Chrismasy things like that. Logs are always cool. Thanks for this. Thomas
@tdfisk Thanks very much for the kind comment... The Surfliner set is sweet.. great runner, awesome smoker, and good sounds.. The sub on the flatcar is a Lionel classic.. it was made a several variations... If you check out my last Christmas video, you'll see I make up my own cars as well as using ones produced for Christmas... there's nothing wrong with improvising... huge part of what I do is improvised...
@puttrainguy For my birthday, my family is buying me this train along with tickets for us to ride the real Surfliner from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. This will be my first train ride.

@wakeboard4life48 Thanks, It is equiped with 2.0 but it was not an upgrade, it was made that way. Are you using DCS ?
