It seems to me that later in the Welk musical family years, he hired so many singers that he couldn't give everyone a decent amount of air time. Bob Lido and the Hotsie Totsie Boys never got featured anymore (in say, the last 8 or 10 years of the show). I love them. They were my favorite.
My fave of all the welk singers, Mister Bob Lido...and a fine fiddler as well. I think Dick Cathcart's little trumpet break is the highlight here...did Cathcart ever miss tossing off those perfect phrases? What a guy! BTW Neil is playing banjo here, not guitar.
