there is a new version of skype (for windows) which works very good. I got almost a permanent connection from europe to the us. Video is very clear, but sound depends on the times that it is busy with skype users. I recommend give skype a try. not sure how it is with a mac, but they have a good forum as well.
point is that there is NO VOICE CHAT possible with aMsn!!! Not at all. only voice clips, but no conversation like life messenger or skype. (That's why lots of ppl don't step over into Linux) However, there seems a project started for aMsn 2, they have to start from the beginning, in a new programmers language. Hopefully then we can have voice chat with aMsn. Not sure it will be possible, as the WLM protocol maybe is pattented or something like that. Google amsn2 for it.....
Yes it is very fair to compare aMSN to Skype. aMSN has superiority of customization of everything in the IM world. Try change other people's nicks in Skype or have seperate nick on chatboxes than in your friend's buddy list.. or having different name for each buddy you have...

Then yo have to say "Use pidgin, because ADIUM is only for mac maschines...
Also i don´t know why use amsn when you already use Windows...why not use MSN on the normal way?!

as long as there is no voice chat possible with amsn, it can't compare to live messenger.
Amsn is great, but for the audio it is a BIG MINUS.....
