Well with a gas or diesel engine you have that old stinking exhaust.These can be used indoors or in a garage when its cold.And no gas or oil to buy except for the hydrolic oil all of them need.And you would be surprised at how powerfull they are .
You're right, it WOULD make your 'wood splitting' life a LOT easier. You can buy one for $299, or less, from either Home Depot or Lowes. You can split 1/2 cord of wood in 6-8 hours (or less), depending on your physical limitations. If you're enjoying it, you'll make 2-3 days of it! That's about 3-4 hours at a time. However long it takes to complete your splitting, you will be STUNNED at what you will have accomplished! These little splitters are fantastic!
