  • Don't mean to knock your film but surely that repair will eventually fall out unless you laminate it with fibreglass and resin. I apologise now if you've got a follow up film on how to sand back q-cell , laminate the ding , hotcoat the fibreglass and finally sand the ding to finish.

  • @scragger1969,

you are right but the finish of the repair is on the video for sale, this is just a tease. but to answer your inquiry, cloth resin and a laminating coat to finish is the total repair. Using packing tape, to reshape the rail with q-cell is a great way to reduce your sanding time. Hope you learned something for free

  • Whats the song?

  • @Jordan327E. the music was originally scored for this project by my friend Erik. you can contact him at erik1x@aol.com

  • ty for video was well made and informative

  • @Rambrosia Thank you, glad I could help. I'll be at the big contest in Long Beach,NY answering questions and giving away stuff

  • the white stuff is a mixture of Q-Cel and resin, and possibly hardener, depending on the type of resin used.

  • What was that white thing that you put on the ding and what kind of tape is that?

  • @7duart, it's q-cell which is just foam shavings from when you shape a board. you mix it with the resin to keep your board light after the repair

  • the tape is just packing tape. you can use masking or painters tape as well
