In D.L. showing and sharing his emotions shows us the heartfelt love he had for his friend - no holds barred. Many people live and die without telling one other "I LOVE YOU" not realizing just how short life is.
People grieve in many different ways. As a believer of God, you know you will see your loved ones again but some people like to concentrate on the good times to help deal with the death. It is okay to cry and feel hurt when someone dies. Even while laughing, you can still hurt but no one can judge someone for laughing or making jokes at a funeral to help deal with the death. They just simply choose to think of the good times. Crying and hollering will not bring them back to life.
Very hart breaking to watch I truly feel that D. L was affect deeply than the others comedian. I love Bernie because he wasn't afraid to speak his mind and to tell true life stories which I think is a true comedian.
Where's color when emotions like this come to the surface? Where's the hatred and separation between races when we see how all humans love the same way? This planet has no place for prejudice and hatred. We are all people one and the same. This moved me to tears. These are true men right here, as was Bernie Mac. God rest your soul Mr. Mac.

I never saw the funeral of Bernie Mac. Thank you for posting this......I'm laughing and crying as if he just died yesterday. The first time I recognized Bernie Mac was on Def Comedy Jam. Though he had been in other movies, it was the first time all eyes were on him television wise. I laughed SO hard tears were streaming down my face! My cheeks were hurting! I became a fan! @rhyanwood1 Congrats to you for being so enlightened my friend. I've got no problem with your criticism. Not all white or black entertainers appeal to me. I was just saying, I appreciate these gentlemen, and race, as you say, has nothing to do with it. But not all of our colleagues on this forum are as enlightened as we are. Agreed? I qualified my post by stating my skin tone to bring weight to the case, that in reality there are only two kinds of people, the decent and the indecent.

I am about as white as a white boy can get. I just want everyone who is a fan of these guys, that I am a fan of these guys too. I love these guys. D.L. and Steve Harvey are fellow Clevelanders. We fellow these Cleveland brothers. Finally, I loved Bernie Mac. What an entertainer. His decency and love for people certainly shone through his comedy. My family was so sad when we heard about his unexpected passing. We didn't even suspect he was sick. We will miss him. God bless you Bernie.

this was the first time I laughed at D.L. Hughley. His show wasn't funny to me and his stand-up comedy was too filthy. But when he says "damn" that was too funny.

His shades were fine. If you do some research on this man then you will find that the mere fact that he is even in the church at all is amazing. Plus no one wants to be seen at a weak point like that. Those shades helped him to focus.

@Getrealpeeps If you see a man wearing glasses at a funeral or a wake, do not ask him to take them off. And Dont wonder why he is wearing them. I asked my man to take off his shades at the wake of his brother...and what I saw there I can not explain. I saw all his memories of all the times they spent together good and bad, all at once. I saw love but much more anguish...I saw pain that I could not heal. Only God could. I will never ever EVER do that again.

@karolynruffin1 To look into the eyes of a grieving man is truly a spiritual experience. That was when I began to understand I do not have all the answers. I had no answer for all the emotions I saw there. I saw what was behind the glasses. I was not worthy.
