  • No one had, has, or will ever have the magic he had. Truly the best ever.

  • so smooth and graceful, absolutly beautiful.....

  • his formation is perfect, his routine is perfect, his music choice is perfect, all in all he is AMAZING!

  • in one word...PERFECT <3

  • This became my favorite skating performance of all time way back when Brian first performed it. Now after seeing it again, I am reminded why! With all the great new skaters who have come and gone since Brian, he is still my favorite skater and this is my favorite performance!

  • LOVE BRIAN

  • He should have gotten that second gold medal but if he has skated perfectly, they wouldn't have given it to him.

  • Best death drop ever. 2:30

  • Linda Leaver said she wanted Brian to be a gold medal athlete and a gold medal person. He achieved both, thanks to his well known work ethic, the help of his coach, Linda, and his choreographer, Sandra Bezic. And just being the good person he is. He does not gloat in his perfectly skated program but accepts it with uncommon modesty and grace.

  • Beautiful routine... beautiful singer... I love it.

  • Perfection.

  • Makes me miss the days when you could watch skating without Scott Hamilton screeching through every performance.

  • This program is also my favorite of all of Brian's programs. I've seen him skate three times on the Tour and he was fabulos.

  • The best skater ever.....male or female

  • agreed!

  • Brian

Brain is the best ever! I love the way he skates coz of minimal movements but still able to mesmerize the audience. This is also the best interpretation of this music ever, @ least for a single skater. Love D/W's newPOTO too.

  • What is it about Michael Crawford's songs that seem to propel figure skaters to reach perfect scores?! LOL!

I mean, first I saw Torvil and Dean's routine to a song from Michael Crawford's "Barnum" show {which earned Perfect Scores}. Now, there's also Brian Boitano and Michael Crawford's "Music Of The Night".

What is it about Michael Crawford that seems to gain top scores whenever his music/performances are used???!!!

Astonishing; that's pretty much all I can say {for now}.

    Take care.

  • I think this is best performance of this program. It brought tears to my eyes! Thank you for posting this!

  • One of the most beautiful pieces of skating I've ever seen - I have it on video but now I can have it here too. Thank you.

  • I have two heroes: Brian Boitano on ice and Scott Cohen on roller skates.

Thank you for gave my life on skating.

  • This is the epitome of grace.

  • When my sister and I saw him do this in Philly right after his amateur career, tears were streaming down both our faces afterward. It was just soooooo beautiful!!! (Nobody leans back on the spread eagle like Brian!)

  • My favorite skater who, through this song, introduced me to my favorite musical!

  • Definitely one of my favorite Brian Boitano performances. He's still my favorite skater EVER!

BTW, I believe he performed this as an artistic program on his 2nd appearance at the World Professional Championships. So, that would make this fall 1989.

  • Just the best Skater ever!
