60163 Tornado named and on Royal Train duty at York 19/02/2009

This new-build 4-6-2 Darlington is now on Royal duty as Locomotive 60163 of the British Railways fleet.

I remember on Mother's day 2009 when I saw it pass through Leeds station. I thought it was a phantom train as no-one seemed to be phased by it apart from myself. It was magnificent.

BEAUTIFUL. I'm an American and prefer big steamers like SP 4449 and SP&S 700 but the Tornado is B E A U T I F U L!!!!!!!
