i've been playing for almost 5 years. i taught myself how to read tabs but everything else i learned from my instructor when i took lessons for less than a year

i used to play guitar like you but ur fingering is "the claw technique" as my instructor once said and it's better if you dont have ur picking hand rest fingers on the scratch plate, that slows you down actually but you play pretty ok ^.^
