I went to sleep with Burzum on. A while later I woke up with this on in pitch black darkness. One of the most haunting moments of my life. Fantastic song.
Awesome, At first I thought it was quite good and that I could film something similiar to that as I have much forests and woods where I live but when you came to that fence and to the old village I seriously got a dossen chills going through my body, It looked so much alike the artwork of Kittelsen it was a bit scary and the lyrics fitted quite well. I realy should try to film something similiar. Good job dude!
@DomKoelsch89 Yes, in general you are totaly right. There are a lot of beautifull forests in the same climat zone . But when I write „such places“ I mean ancient villages in these forest. Of course you can find such viliges not only in Lithuania, without doubt in eastern/northen europe you can find even more impressible views. But day to day they are dissapearing, because they stands in beutifull places, forests, near the lakes and rivers.
It is situation, when every rich man wants to have modern villa, in these places instead of old building. Fortunately this village is protected by government as ethnographic village, houses and other buildings stands here even from 18th century. And it is not museum, people live here normal live!!!
@AlgizJ Really, it seems little overgrown, well this country sure has its beautiful places, as to country where I live, there is not much of freedom, everywhere's a private land of farmers who grow something.
@DomKoelsch89 good point, i live out in the country in Canada and have great forests around these parts (especially at winter, very good black metal look to it at night when theres no snow falling). but yes cheers mate! :) this song rocks! :D

yeh it does, it actually looks like the same place featured in some of Burzum's artwork, and I always imagined Burzum to be playing when i'm walking through the woods - there is just something peaceful about the music, that makes me feel free.
This has a nice touch with the Once Emperor lyrics.

Like grandfathers village.There is no more people there now.Abandoned and empty.With old cemetery.Nice place.In south Lithuainia.Deep in the Forest.

@AlgizJ no offense, but in every country in the northern hemisphere in the same climate zone you can find such forests and places..
some people just don't ever leave their cities and go to the forests outside.
they just think there's nothing else then steel and grey walls.
they would find such settings in nearly every forest.

Footage was filmed in south Lithuania, in small, ancient village and surroundings. I suppose it fits to the song's mood very well.
