Interesting how FM sounds on the Kenwood.... But it does work! Done this myself but only about four miles distance...... 73 Rod KB8DNS

Actually this is not FM, since there is no modulating signal. Pushing the PTT with no modulation should result in a pure CW signal on an FM transmitter. But the radio used for transmitting does not have enough stability to give a good sounding CW signal. This influences mainly the beginning of the signals. Telling the truth I really don't know what is that strange sound following the end of the carrier.
