  • My mom make those designs almost everyday,I wonder if she knows of this. I wish there were still many written Hmong books way back so I could learn more.

  • My husband looks so spanish, I think he carries some hidden gene in him. His hair is black, but has a natural red hue in the sun. When wet, it curls up just like a perm, but all hmong.

  • Wow I thought they were just designed to look pretty

  • wow this stuff looks hebrew

  • This is very interesting...is there a site where I can read more into it or a book which has more??

  • I thought that the elders that understood the writing on the cloth are all dead. From some of my research, I thought that no one can intrepret this. Is this just an attempted interpretation?

  • According to the people who put this information together, it was believed that the elders who could interpret it all died only to preserve it. Reason being, if you didn't know, the Hmong leaders were betrayed by our very own people. We did not want history to repeat itself.

They learned it from the elders who kept it secret, and have kept it secret til now. Example: It is unwise to reveal this writing while we were still in Laos under the mercy of the Communists. Hopefully this answers ur ?

  • xyoojtxhoovNeeb. Tus kwv tij hmoob koj ua tau zoo kawg lawm. ua dab tsi yuav muaj hauv paus kos mus txog tsis. yuav ua cas kuv xav paub txhiv.

  • Peb hmoob cov paj dawb hais hev. This is exellent!!

  • Nyob zoo tsua TheHmongIdentity,

Kuv xaam paub tas koj puas muaj ib qhov website kws muaj cov 99 lub suab xws le has nyob taum 2:24 huv qhiam video no? Kuv xaam tau ib dlaim luj zog coj lug saib xyuas thab kawm.

  • Wow! it is amazing how the author can translated the Hmong paj dawb into real written system for all the Hmong around the world. Now it is up to all the Hmong around the world to keep, expend, and use wise forever.

  • a question. how credible is all this information? how was this research done?

  • As I've said to someone else, the question you're asking is like asking a Hmoob Mej Koob to provide a degree about Hmong Marriage Celebrations. The research was conducted by several Hmong adults during the 80s when they met an elderly Hmong woman who still knew how to read and write the ancient system. There may be other survivors but that is very unlikely for many have already passed away. If we don't preserve our culture and history now it may actually die with us. I hope this helps.

  • yes, thank you. i just wanted to know how the research was done because i feel like sometimes some people just say stuff and everyone starts believing it.. for example why the do the hmong have blond hair? you have people saying many different things but who has really has done their research?

  • Ah I see. Speaking of the blonde hair blue eyed Hmong rumors going around, did they ever check in China to see if there are blonde hair blue eyed Hmong there? As far as I understand there aren't any.

It is most likely because French men mated with Hmong women during the times of French Indochina, passing down such genes. Others may be albino but the French theory is most likely true since most claim that the blonde hair Hmong they've seen do not have albino traits.

  • i've never research online, i wish i can do it in REAL life, if there are any blond hmong in china. about the french theory, it CAN be possible but some questions i have are, don't hmong people dislike interacial marriages? shouldn't we have french relatives then? wouldn't the villagers disown the girl for sleeping around? how come our elders don't tell us this? i've never seen a blond lao person, that's strange. if there are going to be blond hmong i think there should be even MORE blond laos.

  • Something interesting is I've seen pictures of Mongolians who do have these features, we also have very similar cultures. So yeah we don't know, more research has to be done on the blonde hair theory. In fact I have yet to see a Hmong person in person who has natural blonde hair, I have only seen reddish hair but not blonde (very much like the Mongolians I've seen).

  • the mongolians are neighbors to the russians, so it's not a surprise that asians closer to the north have lighter hair color.

wow, you haven't seen a blond hmong? i'm shocked to hear that. i've seen so many! haha.. i have to show you pictures. a few of my relatives have blond hair, some are brunette. i'll email you the pics.

  • really???...french???...i thought it was russians??...i don't know..that's what i've heard...but i guess everyone gets the point..i actually want to reveal the truth of the hmong too...many people that are hmong don't even know who they really are and what their culture is about...many even have lost their hmong tongue...(myself also but planning to take classes to enhance my hmong).

  • I'm not sure, i been asking one of the youtube comments...due to Chineseciviliztion-Niamtxiv... many times regarding blue eye- blonde hair...i have saw few pples from laos n thailand is (BINO) is blue eye n blonde hair.

  • This is a possibility, we did record that when we lived in South China we met Caucasians from the West. And the proof is in the mummies they found of caucasians a while back. Today's Southern China was where the Chu Kingdom, (Tswb in Hmoob), also reads Shu, stood.

  • according to one book i was written the mong has blue eye n blonde hair, those pples live down central region asian due to afghanistan n middle east.. n i saw those call BINO..i saw few in thailand n few in the USA. u might asking Chinesecivilization in youtube. go to the miao kingdom on youtube.

  • aw! i see it now. i always hear/read that hmong people incorporate their writings in their clothes but i never really see where and how. this is so interesting. now, i'm going to be careful how i sew. lately, i've been adding twists to pattern or making up some... mmm.. wow. <3
