@JBetances7 We shot all of the footage for this video using a Kodak PlaySport HD. It's a fairly cheap handheld camera. Works pretty well, but I think the action footage comes out smoother with our GoPro HD cameras. Not as many dropped frames when using the GoPro, compared to the Kodak.

@Btv528 Nah, you just have to call U.S. customs and report in to the small vessel reporting system. It's pretty easy. Usually they don't even require you to come in. Just call, tell'em you're home, and be done with it.

How much fuel was consumed going to Bimini @ 2 hours in the Speedster 150? Did you have to refuel during the 55 miles?

Any significant difference on the return trip in choppier seas?

@amg600sl All craft used about 3/4 tank each direction. We all had extra fuel cans strapped on for emergency, but definitely didn't need them.

@dcman4usn Well...The RXP runs fast, but the RXT is probably better suited for a trip like this. As for tips; leave early in the morning, plan for at least two full days in Bimini, bring basic ski tools (we had a mechanical failure in the middle of the gulf stream), and carry an EPIRB or PLB.

@KevinandCorrie How's the ride over to bimini on jetskis? From what I heard, its a one sided gulfstream; its tough to go back to miami. I was also told not to do the trip unless we have a bigger boat following us.

@touchdown357 The ride over was amazing...Slow rollers and fairly flat seas. The ride back was pretty rough, but only because we had winds coming out of the North. If you've got 2 or 3 other skis with fairly intelligent riders, you won't need a bigger boat. Just carry and EPIRB in case of disaster.

what type of gps did you use? was it real accurate, i mean it appears you found the island... thats good.

@seadude2005 I used a Garmin Oregon 400c mounted on the RXT's handle bars. Extremely accurate, easy to use, and durable. We also used the GPS on two iPhones. I'd definitely recommend using a trail or marine GPS though, as I was able to easily plug in GPS coordinates for various dive spots around the island.

@mloureirojr Yes the "captain" of each vessel has to check-in with customs upon arrival. There is a $150 customs fee for each vessel entering the Bahamas. Passports are necessary. Depending on the hotel, they may or may not charge for dock fee. We stayed at the Bimini Sands resort, and did not have to pay the dock fee.
