THis was an awesome movie. THe message was clear, that vigilantism is not a path worth walking. Revenge is not worth the war. As the saying goes, Before going on revenge, you must dig two graves. I paraphrase. Remember how many people Beatrice KIddo hurt just to kill her ex-lover. Quentin got the message, James Wan got it, but Michael "freakin" Winner apparently didn't. And Brian Garfield would agree. After all Death Wish and Death Sentence are his books. Death Sentence is a sequel to Death Wish

Brian Garfield's vision was just that when he wrote his novel Death Wish and it's sequel Death Sentence. They took Garfield's novel and ruined it with the Death Wish sequels ignoring his message. I like Bronson, but the movies were turning into Bond films and ruining the original material. I heard Garfield liked this one because it stayed true to his message.

Unoriginal as hell

Acting was sub-par

Way too cheesy

Extremely Unrealistic (A shotgun blows a guy's leg off from 20 ft away, the same Guy gets launched backwards 10 ft from the same distance, Bacon gets shot in the stomach and NECK and manages to live)

When I watched this movie, the scene of him fighting the guy in the car in the parkade was a huge ardrenaline rush. Also the apartment scene and the house fighting scenes were too fucking crazy. I liked the ending too, very intense.

Good movie. I just spent 40 minutes trying to remember the name. Got it confused with Death Proof by Tarantino (never seen it but it does have a similar car), and Urban Justice (which is along the same plotline and a good movie also) for some reason I knew the actors name started with K prolly Kevin but kept thinking Kevin Nealon....but I knew it wasnt him cuz hes a comedian. Typed in Kevin into IMDB thought I saw Bacon and then the face kinda filled in.

I have this movie. It's a classic revenge story, a father vs a bunch of street gangmembers. The beginning of the movie is sad because his son gets killed, the middle part of the movie is suspenseful because the gang is trying to go after him & then his family. The final scenes are awesome, he has nothing left to lose so he buys a bunch of guns, hunts them down and kills them all.

i just watched this movie the other night, brilliant! I love revenge movies. I did find however the gang to be too animated, they spoke and acted like cartoon characters, just too over the top with the gang cliches, apart from that great. Good to see James Wan handling other material apart from horror

Honestly, I actually changed my mind after awhile and claimed that: "You know what, I DON'T want the cops to get involved, and I'm glad they didn't. I do understand tho man, it is stupid. But I like it "stupid" in this case. Because then...you cannot have a good revenge "fanasy" play out in front of you, if cops were more realistically involved
