If cows are steeped in crap then of course the milk is going to have bacteria. I don't know for sure, but I believe having something like grass fed cows would reduce the risk a lot. So the idea is don't stuff all the cows into a barn all year and feed them grain or whatever.

If you want to know where to get raw milk go to real milk [dot] commmm and find the state and farm where you can pick it up. I have been drinking it now for about 6 months and I was well all winter while everyone else was coughing, sneezing, and puking. That's proof enough for me, considering I used to get sick with the change in wind direction
