I was 13 and one day while hanging at my cousins house one of my friends brought the tales from the punchbowl cd over and was raving about how great the band was and he was right. If you can't hear the bass maybe you are tone deaf. I'm listening on 1 inch computer speakers and I can hear it. Les plays alot of high notes so maybe you just aren't hearing it as bass. Ler is a way underated guitarist but that just comes with the territory playing with a freak like Les! Ler is a perfect bandmate for Les because he is perfectly comfortable taking a backseat to Les' wall of sound bass. Herb is an awesome drummer too!

@jaminjef: I've had this album since it came out. If you can't tell that the guitar is MASSIVELY overpowering the bass in this video, you just don't know much about mixing. Whoever is mixing the audio at the Dave Letterman show didn't know how primus was, so he was mixing them like a typical rock band. Loud drums, REALLY FUCKING LOUD guitar, barely there bass. It gets better after the first 20 seconds, but it never gets close to what the song sounds like in the studio or a primus show.
