  • miko404, Ha! Funny one.

  • A classic in my book & thx

  • I love this type of music.

  • the opening is eerily similar to ac/dc you shook me all night long haha

  • @yanks2661 Techincally, You Shook Me All Long would be similar to this since this came out 5 years before that ;)

  • @clix411 Beat me to it, good sir...but my wording is better, I think. #NotAnAC/DCFan

  • @Shredder5190 Well played sir, in the words of Paul Rudd ;)

  • @clix411 haha :D

  • @yanks2661 The opening to You Shook Me All Night Long is a ripoff of this opening.

I fixed that for ya ;D

  • With my only clue being "flat pancake' this was hard as fuck to find. worth it.

  • REAL ROCK!!!!!..PERIOUD.

  • Woman with the sweet lov'in, better than a white line.

  • This was a good party song back in the day for sure!!!!

  • and smokin big hooters makes you feel so fine

  • I seen them in concert in OKC

  • Got to love the fact my parents made me grow up to these true Bands, nothing interlaced into the song other than true talent.

  • im 17 yrs old. there is nothing better than music like this.

  • roll one & turn it up !

  • @NOTAFRAIDTADIE i LIKE YOUR STYLE! LETS ALL HEAD EAST

  • They don't write them like this anymore! Thanks for posting.....!

  • My older brother and I rebuilt his 1969 Road Runner and this was the 8 track constantly playing in the background. I remember drinking gallons of Pepsi and eating cherry licorice with my hands soaked in either part cleaning fluid or paint thinner and this in the background. We built the fastest car in town, and he later helped me build the fastest street car in 3 states.

  • @MrQuestionAuthority what a great memory man

  • Depends ...are you sure it's the last time?

  • Awesome! Let's see what Melba Toast is packin'

  • flat as a pancake rem this from college grt song

  • Im sorry, and I love this song, but I had Roger Boyd as a professor at SIUE and he is one of the biggest dicks I have ever known.

  • Timeless. A CLASSIC. This song is also proof that music doesn't need to be complicated to be great.

  • this song was actually recorded in my hometown, south pekin - illinois

  • faaaaaaaaaaaaaar ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

  • lol at that first comment

  • My brother had this playing on an 8 track player when we rebuilt a 1969 Road Runner in the late 70's. The Road Runner kicked ass and was the fastest car in town, until a disco faggot in a Trans Am rear ended him on Dodge Street. The Trans Am was a total mess, but his Road Runner lived to rule another day.

  • @MrQuestionAuthority i hope he beat that faggots ass

  • Wow........on a trip back!

  • MEMORIES>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>All Good!!

  • YEAH... DON'T MAKE 'EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE

  • This band was awesome. Of course, they did have better success than 99% of all bands but I think there are lots of bands with less talent and worse songs that got further. Show business is weird that way. Wish Head East could have gone further.

  • hey denise....been listenin to music like this along time,,, o yea wouldnt want it any other wayyy

  • grew up in Ballwin/Ellisville/Manchester in the 70's and many friend from Lafayette HS know theses guys ... so kool

  • A great classic ! Love it !

  • Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fuckin' muscle.

  • One of my favorites .

  • this band is from ST.LOUIS MO.i used to see the trailer that they had all of there gear in from i-70,pased by it all the time.

  • good music and the best tune1

  • I saw Head East with the Ramones (why?) opening and Black Sabbath headlining in the seventies. What a great live band Head East was.

  • God I know all the words to this song, but could not think of the name or artist. All I knew was the first word was "Never" and the band's name began with an H. Took me about an hour to find the song. Totally worth it!

  • i think they stole the solo from tim and eric!

  • @misterjustincool you know this song came WAY before tim and eric right?

  • MO Cowbell

  • I always hated this song. I had friend telling me how great it was, so I gave it a listen. Oh well. Can't love them all.

  • Saw Head East last year at the Meskwaki Rockfest in Tama, Iowa. They opened up for Warrant, Vince Neil and Cinderella ! Great show !

  • Shave my wife, I'm goin' down for the last time.

  • @miko404 You really are awesome. LOL

  • Head East Live still rocks the vinyl here in my office !!

  • Saw them live at The Lost C!!!

  • i always thought this was grand funk

  • i just woke up

  • was this band like the justin beiber of the time to ppl i wonder?

  • @TheWhatwhat676 That would have been Donny Osmond who is talented but way unlike the hundreds of excellent rock acts of the time. 74-75

  • i never liked this song. everytime it plays on my favorite radio station i wonder to myself why do i consider it to be my favorite radio station....

  • Who was the girl part of the duet? Or was it a guy singing in a high register?

  • @buckeyecapsfan19 its a guy with a higher voice

  • @BabaxOreilyx515x Thanks for clearing that up bro. I always thought it was a guy and girl duet...

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooo fuck yeah!

  • Reminds of being sick with pneumonia staying at my folks and this was my favorite song that my Brother had on a cassette. I wanted to hear it so bad and he finally coaxed my down stairs to hear it and made me listen to the whole cassette. Finally this, (my favorite) song, came on and he plugged in head phones so I couldn't hear and and he sang the whole song off key with no music!! The little fu*%#r!! Still love the song though!!!!!

  • muscilover1234 I didn't post that comment for attention furthest thing from my mind, stumbled onto the song and it brought on a flood of memories good and bad but most importantly of my granparents saving me and my sisters form a wretched childhood. so soo sorry for giving props two the two most important people in my life!! • Never say goin' down for the last time

  • this video is catchy

  • Can't remember how many times I partied to this song. Damn I grew up with the best music!

  • @Magnus2131 ditto !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My mom would drag me and my sisters to bars and we would have to put up with her getting shit faced and we would be fighting off drunks all night long. this song came on the juke box one perticualy rough nite and i remember thinking that this can't last forever i'm going to break away from this fucked up crap one day. little did i know my salvation was my grandparents swooping in and saving my life god bless them. Ralph and cora thank you Im eternily greatful for ur love and support RIP

  • @coolecup Wow that's what you think of when you think of this song? Sorry about that. I'm glad things got better for you.

  • @coolecup RIP to Ralph and Cora, nice story in a good way

  • @coolecup so u got to listen to the best jukebox music like Hank Sr and Jim Croce

  • @coolecup I was practically raised in bars too! Probably why I quit drinking.

  • @coolecup I once met John Schlitt once backstage when he was with Petra. Later, I met my current pastor, who was from John Schlitt's home town. I'm wondering if -- even though your parents let you down -- maybe your heavenly Father who rescued John Schlitt could also rescue you.

  • @coolecup I can relate.

  • Comment removed

  • @coolecup The lead singer of this group also went through a life full of drugs. and found his saviour in Christ Jesus, is this not ironic ? Your saviour was a loving set of grand parents.

  • @coolecup

sounds like a mean family n i was thinking my family was hard n mean but they never look 4 fights but perhaps being mean to every one that talks to them is but it depends on ones view

  • @coolecup you rock more than you can ever imagine - Jesus sends His angels to save all who have but the faith of a mustard seed and he saves the best for those who have kicked the most ass in the name of love - at least in my mind and as He is my Main Man & we are seriously tight - if you are not in the game get the heck back in soldier - and get all your boys on board cause I am the voice crying in the wilderness, so sayeth the Lord. ;)

  • I WAS THERE AND I DON'T REMEMBER THEM.

    fuckin idiot hahahaha

  • I love the part at 2:53 when the man sings "Have you ever been lonely?! Do you have any fun, do you ever think of me, I'm just another one." He sings it with such feeling.

and I think he sounds so much like David Bowie when he sings those 4 lines for some reason

  • Let me tell you what melba toast is packin alright got a 411 positrack out back, 750 double pumper, edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop up pistons, turbo jet 390 horsepower were talkin some fucking muscle

  • @mut093 that just described what I think is a good time, but i hang out with the older guys, but all of em graduated, and im a junior, they thought since I hung out with em so much that I was supposed to graduate with em :)

  • Partied with john the lead singer from mt pulaski ILL

  • @h0nkey420 John the lead singer became a fundamentalist Christian and wound up singing for a dreadful 80's/90's Christian band called Petra.

  • @lundehund44 Loved Petra.

  • lol, I love dazed and confused, so realistic, I wish i lived in the 70's.

  • i was 14 when this song was great i was riding my bike with a card on my front spokes those days are gone people gone gone gone and so sad

  • Back seat of Mom's car(too young to sit up front), heading to the beach, AM Radio...

  • I was stairing at the picture... I swear I saw that bastard blink.

  • damn good stuff:)

  • 1973 was a great year for music. Never Been Any Reason is one my favorites

  • That's why I love them high school girls man.

I get older. They same the same age.

    Yes they do.

  • I often wonder why music today cannot come close to this great song. My theory is back then; they produced enjoyable music for music's sake alone. Now-a-days...it's all about dollar signs.

I could be wrong, though. Even if I am, Head East's "Never Been Any Reason" will go down in my memory as one of the best!!!

  • This is the kind of song that takes me back to when life was so much more simple.

  • great classic

  • "Shave my wife im going down for the last time" HA
