Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fuckin' muscle
My older brother and I rebuilt his 1969 Road Runner and this was the 8 track constantly playing in the background. I remember drinking gallons of Pepsi and eating cherry licorice with my hands soaked in either part cleaning fluid or paint thinner and this in the background. We built the fastest car in town, and he later helped me build the fastest street car in 3 states.
My brother had this playing on an 8 track player when we rebuilt a 1969 Road Runner in the late 70's. The Road Runner kicked ass and was the fastest car in town, until a disco faggot in a Trans Am rear ended him on Dodge Street. The Trans Am was a total mess, but his Road Runner lived to rule another day.
This band was awesome. Of course, they did have better success than 99% of all bands but I think there are lots of bands with less talent and worse songs that got further. Show business is weird that way. Wish Head East could have gone further.

What the hell is this ? Where's the whole song ? The RIAA oughta sue you just for cutting half the beginning. then they oughta have you stood against a wall and shot.
I grew up listening to these guys on the radio, and playin' the local haunts....thank God for an 18 yr old drinkin laws, and this bein' Wis. where they never checked anyway if you were tall enough to see over the bar Ya got in,lol. Rock On!
My mom would drag me and my sisters to bars and we would have to put up with her getting shit faced and we would be fighting off drunks all night long. this song came on the juke box one perticualy rough nite and i remember thinking that this can't last forever i'm going to break away from this fucked up crap one day. little did i know my salvation was my grandparents swooping in and saving my life god bless them. Ralph and cora thank you Im eternily greatful for ur love and support RIP
@coolecup I once met John Schlitt once backstage when he was with Petra. Later, I met my current pastor, who was from John Schlitt's home town. I'm wondering if -- even though your parents let you down -- maybe your heavenly Father who rescued John Schlitt could also rescue you.

@coolecup who wants 2 read that crap on u tube, lol, except ralph and cora but they cant so go to church to talk 2 them and stop using your dead grandparents to get thumbs up
@coolecup The lead singer of this group also went through a life full of drugs. and found his saviour in Christ Jesus, is this not ironic ? Your saviour was a loving set of grand parents.
sounds like a mean family n i was thinking my family was hard n mean but they never look 4 fights but perhaps being mean to every one that talks to them is but it depends on ones view
@coolecup you rock more than you can ever imagine - Jesus sends His angels to save all who have but the faith of a mustard seed and he saves the best for those who have kicked the most ass in the name of love - at least in my mind and as He is my Main Man & we are seriously tight - if you are not in the game get the heck back in soldier - and get all your boys on board cause I am the voice crying in the wilderness, so sayeth the Lord. ;)
I love the part at 2:53 when the man sings "Have you ever been lonely?! Do you have any fun, do you ever think of me, I'm just another one." He sings it with such feeling.
and I think he sounds so much like David Bowie when he sings those 4 lines for some reason
