Great playing! I have been trying to decide on a guitar for a long time. Your performance here and a few others I have watched convinced me to go with the Ramirez 125. I bought the spruce model. I don't regret buying it. It is a great instrument.
Amazing playing! I also love the tone of this guitar - am considering buying one before they stop the run. Is yours a cedar or spruce top? The vid is a bit dark, so it's difficult to tell.
@FlyingPancreas Hi, thanks for the comment. This guitar has a cedar top and does have a very nice Spanish tone. The guitar is not as "boomy" and overdriven as this video might indicate. Overall I think it's a great guitar as long as you don't expect a $20,000 guitar for a fraction of the price. Cedar seems to fit the Ramirez aesthetic better than spruce, although it would be nice to have one of each.
What are you guys talking about? I thought the sound was fantastic. I'm thinking of buying one of these guitars, and everything I heard made me start drooling over the sound. Fantastic playing Larry, thank you, I really enjoyed the piece. Wish I had the skill to play it.
@bogbel Thanks bogbel! Youtube uses algorithms that affect the sound. Youtube changed their algorithms a few months ago. The clip sounds a little better now than it did when it was first posted.

Thanks for the comments about my two "blue" videos. But I didn't have much to do with the recording setup. I needed a quick video to apply for some gigs. I walked into a recording studio in Florida last year and made these. The studio guy put compression on the mix, which translated poorly on youtube. I'll soon release more material.
Very good!!!

Nice playing Larry!

never put a mic right in the center of the soundhole.
The bad recording job makes it impossible to make any judgement of your playing. Bad compression going on as well.

Really good an advice. Guitar sounds from its all body and you can't spot your mike so close to the soundhole.
Nice performance yet.

Very fine playing, but there is someting about the recorded sound! I would not use any kind of compression effect!

Nice playing, I've always liked this piece far better than "Sounds of Bells".
