This kind of work make us think a lot in the limits of life and the creation of artificial life. And the reflections inside the work are very impelling .I think this artist may have someday a project in the Art and artificial life contest.
i don't particular follow the flow of her stance and perspective of 'definitions'. i think her discourse is limited in these 'definitions' because it only comes from an individual perspective. More to the point her perspectives are pictorial and to be quite specific constructs, mutations, set ups. Her imagery is quite 'mammal'.
I like it that she deals with deep questions that revolve around science and our future, rather than being critical towards general society like most artists today. But unlike everyone else I don't find any of this disturbing, I actually find it beautiful.
yes very deep indeed, i would love to ask the presenter if she would accept her own child to be looking like a pig, well atleast i can hope she gets to. Playing God isnt something new ever since the human civilizations started. same old shit

This is so beyond the sickness this world has come too. This is so discustingly cruel. If you could make another being why would you. This is just not ok and thank God the U.K still had enough sense left to ban this craziness. Research is one thing this is criminal.
that's a real filosopher . she thinks beyond what everyone thinks
and those sculpture are weird but they really have something that you heve seen somewhere before
and ps: al thoze idiots who just give a comment like ' that's just sick' just keep that thought in your small-minded head and don't bother other people with it =) thx
Interesting questions... and beautiful work. I kept coming upon these images in weird videos and was wondering what the heck they were. Now I see and they are far more interesting than I'd imagained.
I enjoyed this, what she says makes a lot of sense, but I think it would be interesting if scientists could make little things like she showed here, I have nothing against cloning or stem cell research, its the future, its time for science to take over the world, and push all this religious crap in the world aside, religion has controlled everything for thousands of years and all we've got to show for it is everyone hating each other, wars and stupid people, its time to let science have a try.
she was incredible! I loved the way she questioned nature and technology. My fave was the natures little helpers, to me, it was like shadows of the children, warning them, this is what you are growing up in. I love her art!
I adore this lady's work. It's stunning, Well sculpted, and eccentrically charming. The creatures and humans look so real it is amazeing. Patricia piccinni's art will always be one of my favriote artists. :3
