Are the subtitles (the translated text) correct?
I'm asking because I've noticed, in the few languages I speak, other journeyman's films have bad voice-overs or subtitles. Often unrelated or opposite to what is being said.
Other of their films lack any form of translation into English.
I'm not sure why they do this. It would cost very little to hire a translator for each film!
It's like they are deliberately spreading misunderstanding.

@speew Russia was still using the old Soviet Rouble in 1994, and was still experiencing 200+% inflation, so it's hard to pin down the value at the time the film was made, but it was in the 4000-5000 roubles per US dollar range.

@Eddyking5 If you mean capitalism by ownership of property, then yes, but Russia is example of government manipulating, and printing money, which caused a lot of poverty, which is happening in the USA right now, and around the world to certain degrees. If anything, Russia doesn't show what capitalism did to Russia, it shows that centrally commanded economies can end up being distorted, and disfunctional.
