Although it honestly doesn't matter that much, Vivian is technically a girl in the English version. The English translation called them the Shadow Sirens, sirens referring to the bird women in greek mythology. Like I said it doesn't matter that much, but I still think of Vivian as a girl.

@MeWithNoGoodUsername I guess I'm not following. She isn't sexualized, she's treating sympathetically, so there's no harm putting her in a kid's game. Learning or knowing about trans people isn't bad for kids. Some kids even know at a young age that they're trans, and a positive representation in entertainment would really help them know they're not alone.

@MikeTheEpicEngineer Vivian isn't gay, the releases in other countries (Well, yeah Japan, but also maybe some others, so don't make hate comments!!) probably came before the English version, and in the Japanese version Vivian (Probably had a different name that meant "Young shadow" or something) was a boy, then when people found that out (Probably by looking at the bio), I'm guessing some translations were already long past that part of text and stuff, and it was "Censored" in the English one.

The english version just deleted this for the sake of censoring, because yeah, this IS censoring, what would be the point of deleting funny stuff for another reason?

Vivian (Probably has another name meaning something along the lines of "Young shadow" as Nintendo seems to name people along the lines of their character and stuff...) IS a boy, but as Vivian kisses Mario (As a bi-sexual joke, I presume) and such, it's taken in the English version, as in America the game appeals to a younger audience.

@bugameca Of course the creators aren´t Spanish. This is a japanese franchise from a japanese company. What I meant is that most of the double entendre jokes are cut from the english translations, but since the spanish translation is done directly from the japanese original, it avoids the censorship from the english versions.
