Very nice, i have always had a fascination with whaling, read all i can on it ( one great book is "Of whales and men, By R.B. Robertson"), i plan on making reproductions of whaling harpoons, this helps me visualise, especially the rigging, thanks, great info and vid.
@bullthrush a kayak can be used with this harpoon for seals, but usually just to retrieve and tow back in the water,,usually the hunter shoots the seal, throws the harpoon to get it..
Good job on the harpoon, Good video, again! You have me a little worried using music from a film soundtrack about serial killers and those agents that hunt them. Your earlier "happy little love songs" as I called them of the headbanging variety always had me wondering why so many UK bushcrafters use them as background music. The serenity of Nature and the Headbangers Ball don't seem simpatico to me. But hey if that makes sense to you folks I wont argue. Cheers Mate, love ya like a brother.
Ha ha ha! All I can think of is Buffalo Bob from Silence of the Lambs when ever I hear that song. That's the best bushcraft harpoon I've ever seen that wasn't in some sort of history museum.
Oops, I was thinking of the caricatured version of buffalo bill in the movie "Joe Dirt" who was named buffalo bob. Anyway, job well done...on the music as well! Ha ha
Your soundtracks are simply awesome
