that must be embarrassing. losing quarter of a million, on tv, to johnny chan, for no reason. To make it worse the commentator says he just lost that hand for no reason.
@masterbates2011 i agree with you hes too tight sometimes, but cmon he instant folded a full house. it was a really good fold, put yourself in that position it would be tough to do.
25:02 Laak damn that fold was awesome. Maybe the best fold I've seen in a while. People talk about bluffs and shit but my goodness what a bullet dodge, intentional or not well done!
@ 19:00 I hate Chan's limp with 4 people in already but he gets lucky that daniel is so stupid to raise 8k when he coulda seen a free flop with T9 suited. What a terrible play by daniel with 5 people in already.
i'm trying to watch the hand between Galfond and Boneta and the camera is following negranu and his stupid story about how he sits on the plane. daniel is the biggest camera whore ever. Just shut up and try to actually win at HSP for once. No one but you likes the sound of your voice.
The very last hand, frustrating that he folded those queens.. you know that greenstein is gonna bet big on the river to bluff it, missed draw, maybe got it but idk I'd feel like just pay the maggot off. If he can beat an overpair whatever.
21:57 Barry is like "why couldn't that have been me with those aces". That boneta guy aint no poker player, hes a scared player going all in like that

Yeah but Jonny Played it like A Royal Fluh .. Jonny crushed them all, only good lay down was phil laak , sick read that hes beat to jj aj or aq .. qq . 4 hands which looked unlikely but he layed it down.
@hachihyakunijuni how? surely if you're behind you'd rather more cards come out so you're more likely to hit whatever you need? please explain dudeee <3
what a fold by laak against chan's AJ full house... wow, I'm stunned. I think laak picked up a tell; otherwise, there's no way a fold would be justified based on the hand played out. (chan would have been raising for value with AK or any ace for that matter.)
I read a quote from McDonald, the commentator, say that a guy who never played poker in his life can win a bracelet. He also said a guy who never played basketball in his life cant ever win an NBA title. How bullshit. First off, if you never played poker you cant win a bracelet. @NickBreakerxboxlive a bracelet comes from a tournament. luck can get you far in 1 tournament. he's just saying that its not always the best who win, especially now that poker blew up and theres so many amateurs trying to play. the 12th man on an NBA team does not fit the description of 'never played basketball in his life'. the 12th man on an NBA team is better than almost everyone on the planet, and probably the best player on his college or high school team or maybe even from his hometown
How come the top comments on each episode are about Gabe being gone. if you don't like it then go watch Poker After Dark and stop bitchin. If you need an announcer to watch poker than you guys are ridiculous. you do know about the mute button right?
Man seriously I'm used to downrate Laak as much as I can because of his plays on other shows, but in this very episodes he makes great laydowns even though he runs so bad, very impressive.
Phil laak is one of the best cash game poker players. His reads are next to none and his laydowns this game were insane. Even the 7's against barry's 8's on a JJJ board. He knew barry had a bigger pair and called to peel a 7. Not even a call on flop lmao. SICK
