That is really cool, extremely detailed... very nice.... but how many primitives was it? I build in second life, and when you are building to sell you have to watch your primitive count and make sure you can imitate multiple primitives with one primitive as much as possible... no one wants to buy a 500-1000 primitive house.
haha in his face! it doesnt need to be usefull does it? also you will get more and more architecture experience which can always be usefull in the future!
@MrRasmusDK hahah your comment sounds like when the internet first appeared... and say... if second life was just a game (which it is not... well not really) building stuff is better than most games where you just shoot guns and lasers, no?
Great example of collaborative building. Did the entire team understand the blueprints before building? how did you communicate which textures to use?
Unfortunately the traditional design was dictated by the neighborhood covenants and the 'architectural review board' (as many new homes are). A design that originally had some merit had to be dumbed down and 'traditionalized' to fit within their requirements.
Coop, normally I would agree, but this home is a real life home design, called the Hybrid House that we use to give tours to potential buyers and clients. It has value in Second Life as an immersive visualization tool which allows them to customize paint colors, materials, landscaping, etc.
I like to know more about your architecture work in side of second life.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I think that second life is waist of time, live in the real world instead of a computer world

autocad is the best program to do the initial layouts. i find it easy as the facilities are vast.
and its fast so i get to do all sorts on design interior and exterior. i use it at ork so i would definately recommed it

Still, the beauty of the video is showing how architects can collaborate on the *same* model to produce an example that can be shown to a customer...
Since the whole video is "speeded up", are you able to give us an estimate on how much time you needed to complete the project?

Thanks for the explanation. I was just thinking about that while I watched the vid. Fairly 'traditional', indeed. But still ok...

@Blackmage001 you can allways build in a sandbox, that is where we all started.
