But, we did get to sit through hours of Aldo Nova, Asia, Jefferson Starship, STYX, Journey, Rush, Fleetwood Mac, Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet (UGH!!!!) waiting for a Haircut 100 song. Occasionally they'd toss us New Wavers some Bow Wow Wow and Adam Ant and Pretenders. I don't know if we were "cooler", but we were definitely more fun--and didn't call everything we don't like "gay"...

all of the band members got back together in June 2004 to do a show as part of the VH1 series, "Bands Reunited"

it was funny to see Nick (the lead singer) trying to remember the lyrics to some of their songs during a quick rehearsal a day or two before the show; I guess he hadn't sung them @ all since he left the group for his solo career

all of them except for one looked like they had aged pretty well

If you like this song, get some sort of copy of the album "Pelican West" (which this song is from).

Even though this was their only song ever played a lot on the radio in the US, the "Pelican West" album has A LOT of other good songs.

I got a "Pelican West: extended" album 4 years ago and they had a real good sound, some good lyrics, and they actually rocked out hard on a couple of the songs!

Ahh...just love this one. Drums kick in at 20 and it's just a blissfull sound. Haircut could really pull it off. Got that vinyl disc rotating on the suspension turntable. It's 1982 and everything is so much better. HC100 really eptomised that beautiful 'Campari Sound' which everyone was talking about back in 82. The masters of this short lived but incredible genre. Haircut brought some class and sophistication to the craze.The other main protagonists were Wham but no where as good as these guys!
