  • I always thought it would've been great to have seen Sea The Stars in this race!! I know that he missed the 09' Irish Derby because the rain had made the track surface at the Curragh softer than John Oxx felt was ideal for him. But I was kind of surprised that Sea The Stars didn't run in the King George. As prestigious of a 12f G1 stakes as this race is considered to be in the UK.

  • Absolutely love Conduit!! He's one of my all time favorite SMS trained horses. Win or lose, Conduit always ran like he had the heart of lion!! As weak as the 2010 B.C. Turf field was. I have no doubt at all had SMS not retired Conduit after the Japan Cup, and had him at Churchill Downs, that Conduit would've joined Goldikova that day as another 3-time winner of the same Breeders Cup race. Conduit would've blitzed Dangerous Midge and Champs Pegasus, IMO.

  • I don't think Conduit was a cut above Tartan Bearer, Conduit couldnt pass him, but how did he finish in front? If you see the head on Tartan Bearer was not letting him pass, Moore then got his mount to veer into Tartan Bearer who then had to be pulled up and was then left in 3rd and still managed 2nd, remember there was a Stewards Inquiry after this, if Tartan Bearer had different owners Conduit would be lucky to keep this.

  • @GBeret83 I whole heartedly agree. I was there and trust me, there were a few of us left with egg on our faces. That was an outrageous performance from Harbinger. I know Stoutey's horses improve with age but that was scary. I can't think of too many who would have lived with Harbinger on that run. Workforce is obviously talented and probably didn't give his true running but he still wouldn't have beaten Harbinger. Stoute said Workforce hated the ground but I don't think that is a valid reason.

  • Let's hope they keep him safe in Japan...

  • @Koshkamitsu, I hear that. Conduit being in Japan to stand stud is my biggest worry, too. Being from the U.S., I know, and you may or may not have heard this story too, that our 1986 Kentucky Derby and 1987 Breeders Cup Classic champion, Ferdinand, was sent to Japan to stand stud after his retirement in the late 80's. After he could no longer produce off-spring, and could no longer mate with their mares, he ended killed in a Japanese slaughter house. Nice fate for a champion colt, huh?

  • 追い比べになったら強そう。

  • CONDUIT !!!! great horse
