  • I live in Taiwan and post daily Vids. Check out my channel! Thanks for the vid!

  • you just need to speak ok English. not a high school graduate? not a problem. Make sure you are white, female and young. everything is gonna be ok in taiwan.

  • @MegaHelicobacter lol only some crap shady school would employ someone without high school behind them. Most require a degree.

  • @1977Futre Why is that? You're only teaching English (a language you already know) not Science, Mathematics, etc, to a group of children who speak no English. It doesn't take scholar to teach things like bird, car, tree, cat, The, are we, you. I mean, it's not a public speaking course promoting advanced orator skills.

  • @Moralvorstellung7 I agree but thats the way it is in Taiwan.

  • I wanna sleep with her. I bet she snores like a dinosaur.

  • @twychang I hope you don't mean that China controls Taiwan...

  • taiwan is ok. china is much more exciting. hess sucks hard.

  • Well guys ,I got to tell you that there are too many Canadians here. And many of them did some bad things and end up in jail or got deported.Another thing is the market is packed no more jobs, and they droped the avarage fee of 30usd to 15usd.Taiwanese people started to hate us foreigners and We arent welcome anymore.Ten years ago kids used to run after us on the streets hug us and they were so happy to see us.Now after the canadian invasion, its totaly opposite.

  • @sitlord75 What sort of bad things did the Canadian do? Just curious

  • @sitlord75 Yes there are many Canadians by far the largest group in Taiwan. But We didn't do " bad things" and ruin it for everyone.

  • Hello. I live on the Central Coast of California, and will be moving to Taichung within the next 6 months or so. I am very interested establishing connections with other English speakers and teachers of English now, so when I get there I am not isolated.

If you have any suggestions or if you can forward my info to people living in Taichung,

    that would be great!

    Great video, by the way!

    Thanks,

    JB

  • @aReasonableMan12...did you make it to Taichung? I live in the west side of town

  • @marvin0chicago Yes I did make it to Taichung. I am living near Tiger City now. Taking Mandarin classes, and tutoring part time.

  • @aReasonableMan12

Taichung has one of the worst crime rates. dont know why you wont go to taipei. more pretty girls and people are better educated. The more you hear taiwanese dialect, the worse the place is. The more you hear mandarin, the better the place.

  • @MegaHelicobacter

eh? That's crap. But please, stay in Taipei. I'm happy living in Taichung amongst the "crime" and those "uneducated", "Taiwanese-speaking" heathens. I would rather foreigners like you stay far far away. :)

  • Welcome to republic of taiwan and enjoyed your life in Taiwan.

  • i miss taiwan food!!! Oonjefr2389rh WP@!OM{N@$

  • does anyone know if a westerner can work in taiwan in another job other than teaching? would it be possible to work in constuction? any info would be great , thanks

  • construction? not as a worker, more like the contractor, designer, or architect. its cheap labor in asia, we dont pay more for foreign laborers, we pay LeSS. that is why we hire filipinos to do the dirty work.

  • yeah but could i get a part time job with a carpenter? even if the pays low. just to get out of the class room and do a bit of labour work. what u think?

  • you should try going to japan. i doubt taiwan would hire westerners for labor work. japan is actually a good place to be english teacher and you can fit in very well. A lot of westerners in japan. although, the living expense is twice as much as living in taiwan.

  • iv already been there. its pretty much the same as taiwan. not many westerners, and only jobs are teaching. i dont mind teaching but id like to work in a chinese environment outside the classroom for a bit as well. just part time work. be better to learn the language this way

  • not really. depends on which city you were in. but if you want to learn the language, maybe try going to a evangelical program if you're chirstian or whatever. if not, then, i'd suggest working for companies that may require your credentials. ....Oh, you can always get yourself a taiwanese girl, lol.

  • i will try anyway. i went to work in europe once and people told me for years i wouldnt get a job and that theres no jobs ( i wont say what country). and guess what ? i got a job on the first week and had 3 jobs all together. so i cant let opinons put me off. i just asked on here to see what people would say who have been there

  • Teach english, even GEDers can make a buck in TW teaching english........are you blond? that would help a lot, if you are black.....you are out of luck buddy.

  • you're mandarin is pretty good!

  • Wow, your chinese is pretty funny. It's good but I didn't understand a couple things you said :P Anyways, you must be pretty good now since this was posted quite a while ago.

  • Wow, this last video was exceptionally well done. Very inspiring; thank you.
