I actually think its perfectly fine looking at your self in the mirror, to improv your dances you need to see what looks rite and what doesn't. Good spotting too! In the music at 0:38 when it said crumbling you looked like crumbling. I thought it was amzing. On the side kick at 1:36 point your right foot. And to make your jumps higher practice with weights on your legs. It helps a lot but your a amazing dancer i absolutely loved it! :D

Stop looking at yourself in the mirror! Dancing isnt just about technique (which you have pretty good, btw), its about feeling the song and telling the story, which you can do even in an improv. Your great, now let go and stop worrying about how you look in a mirror :)

And it's not a situation where I felt I needed to criticize her dancing to make myself feel better. The truth is that I was coming down on her so hard BECAUSE of the fact that I was reminded of myself.

And NO, that does not justify the comment I left.

But I wanted alliee to know that she is an amazing dancer,

and I apologize for the comment because I didn't mean it.

It was almost like a subconscious comment to myself.

I used her to express how I felt about MYSELF.

But believing in yourself isn't an easy thing to when YOU are your own biggest critic. I have always been hard on myself, which sometimes works out because you end up pushing yourself to improve. But the majority of the time you're constantly picking yourself apart, thinking you're not good enough.

And the truth is that when I saw this video, I was reminded of myself.

This girl is a great dancer who has potential to go very far...but when I saw myself in her, I started picking her apart.

Some days you feel on top of the world and other days the pressure of constantly striving for perfection gets to us.

When I left that comment, it was one of those days.

I don't remember the exact day. Maybe a competition, maybe a rehearsal...but we've all been through those times. And other dancers will tell you, don't let it get to you. Believe in yourself and your abilities.

So I'll just be blunt. I honestly don't understand why there

are people on here telling you your movement and technique was good.

Maybe they aren't dancers themselves so they don't know proper execution or maybe I'm just too big on technique and placement..

But you need to work on your movement. A LOT.

It's sloppy, everything is being thrown around and it doesn't look like dancing.
