I suppose you warmed your bowl to body temperature? Anything else will result in denaturing of the enzyme. Also, since you are using a carbohydrase, may I ask where this was produced from? From saliva or from the duodenum?
Hi DrSpooglemon, yes your body does produce enzymes but often not enough to handle much of today's cooked and processed foods. Eating healthy is a great start to fighting indigestion, but many have found supplemental enzymes to offer extra support in working toward proper digestion and relief from indigestion symptoms.
Our toll-free phone number is 1-800-637-7893, if you would like to call me at x 324, I would be happy to try and help you figure out what the best choice would be for you.

I assume that you are talking about digestive enzymes and not systemic enzyme formulations. Digestive enzymes are designed to be taken with food so mixing them into the food probably will not reduce irritation if you have already been taking them with food to begin with. I would recommend that you change to a less harsh formulation or take a formula that has a lower activity level.

@b05620 Hello! The enzymes used in this video are from a fungal source, as are the majority of our products.

What a bunch of crap. Your body produces enzymes. Just eat healthily. Lots of green veg. No need for this nonsense...
